Thread: Nades with commando?

Hi everyone. Well for the past few days i'm being considering going commando 4/0/0/0 for the grenades as 5-7k COMBAT xp does sound rather tempting but my respec was screwed as i crashed once i'd logged in so i am faced with grinding it all up. Anywho, do the type of grenades actually make any difference to the combat xp you get or do they just cost a hell of a lot more and do more damage. In essence, whats the difference between any other elite/hybrid profession using grenades than a commando using higher kinds of grenades (e.g thermals)? (just damage?)
Also, I am master rifleman / Master Bounty Hunter and i'm not sure what types of grenades i am certified for. If anyone could tell me what i am i'd be most appreciative.

you really dont need commando if you are nade grinding to get combat xp to convert to fs xp. what you need is a good group. any one can use c12's. it dont matter how much damage you do to the mob as long as you only use the granade and nothing else. throw the grenade and run or fake death and if you get incapped thats ok too.(as long as you dont incapp 3 times in 10 mins.) then let your group kill the mobs. you will get pure combat xp 6-7k for each mob as long as you dont use any other attack like pistol, rifle ect. and dont heal either then you will get med xp and not the full combat xp. the hard part is getting a group that dont mind you using nades. start the group yourself and let everyone know ahead of time your intentions.

I banked 1.5 million FS xp in 2 days, nade grinding is the only way to go. I capped combat xp every 45 minutes and made many trips to the village. The best part is if I were grinding weapons xp to convert, It would have taken me about 48 hours of straight grinding to do what I did in about 6 hours total over those 2 days.
My guild has jedi that are willing to help us non jedi grind, so this helps. but is not nessasary to have them.

Im a MBH/Rifleman and if i were i wouldnt change that at all, MBH capped combat exp at 900k (300k FS exp), I cap pistols and carbines at 900k each (30k FS exp X2) and i cap rifles at 1.2mil(40k FS exp)
400k fs exp every trip to the village is sweet
U need a total of 7,350,000 FS exp 
Sounds bad but it isnt i would rather do this than grind 30 profs (7,350,000 / 400,000 = 18.3 trips in total)
I've almost finished my FS grind but still need 3 quests
i cap combat exp roughly once every day C12's
Village made getting a jedi easy (well for me anyway)

But if you have Master Commando/ Master Bounty Hunter you get even more xp.1.2 mil(40k FS) Master Commando, Psitols 900k(30k FS), same for carbines and rifles. That is 130k FS plus whatever combat xp you get or900k Combat(300k FS). Which is 430k FS, that is awesome.

They're going to be giving a respec token to everyone with patch 18 or 19, you can only use it once but i dunno if it's tradeable yet, would be worth a good years labor if it is
