Just wondering cause I love to hunt and want to be able to hunt as a jedi.

Friend has this branch and says he cannot harvest from creatures.

I think you have to have novice scout to harvest and you only get a bonus with the branch. I'm not sure about this but just a guess.

Yes you get this basic abilty with Novice Scout. But in order to use the bonus from the FS branch you have to have NoviceScout. Dosn't make much sense to me as it pretty muchweakens the whole branch, but then I guess this is pretty much par from the coursefrom this development team.

If you have no scout you can drop basic camps and throw low level traps(they will never stick tho) and you get +5 terrain negotiation.

Getting the Survival line wont let you harvest since you need the /harvest command from scout to make it work.

New home of SWG Rangers!

So let me get this straight.

Scout does not list "/harvest" as an ability acquired with the "Novice Scout" box. It just says, Harvest +5, just like the survival branch.

So, this must also mean that the FS Survey Branch does not really let you survey? You have to have Novice Artisan to survey using the FS Survey Branch?

Am I the only one that thinks this is retarded / not intended?

Just wondering what the point of the FS non combat skills are if you have to have a corresponding non-elite prof to use them.

I totally agree with this I would love to have the ability to harvest while a jedi!!

Most of my friends need hides meat or bone for something!!

Before reading this I had planned on dropping novice scout and having the scouting tree in fs. This tree btw is totally worthless except for terrain neg and harvesting. Everything else is a waste. Now I have a whole skill branch that is worthless. Since I just got my first box last night in survival. And I have to drop scouting to get any more boxes. I have a bandoleer that gives me +15 terrain neg. so that is even unnesscary.

I beilve that all the skills that you can unlock especialy the none combat skills from the village are designed for those players that do not wish to become jedi but rather get bonuses from being FS.

I remeber this being said earlier when the village system first came out about how you could chose not to become jedi but rather get a force advantage to other profs.

But yes I think it's retarded. I can't do the heal mission in phase 1 because I'm not a master medic however I am a novice doctor which is the only prof that can currently heal wounds in game(Not including Jedi).
