Hi there! I'm just wondering what profession would be best while doing the Auxilary Quests to become a Padawan. Will it make much difference? Is one easier than the rest?

Thanks for any information!

I use mbh and master commando. combine a good flamethrower with advanced critical shot and you can really dish out some dmg. plus u have 5 different kinds of xp to trade in (rifles, pistols, carbines, heavy weapons, and combat)not counting investigation since theres no point to it. with any left over skill points u can get some of medic.

Master Brawler/Master Swordsman/Medic 0-0-4-0imo you can't really go wrong with. You get decent armor protection and with a PH you can do serious damage and that's what its all about. Couple that with Center of Being and stim C/D's and you can do pretty well. Not to mention in group hunting you can max xp for unarmed, 1h, 2h, polearms, and combat xp.

Used that template for the trials and then for the first week or so afterwards until I could pick up novice healer. I'm sure there are some other good post cu templates out there too. See what some other people have to say.

I asked all the same questions etc when i was starting out.

I was Master Brawler, Master TK and Master Pikeman..

To be fair, you could add Swordsman or Fencer instead of TK or pike or even go Pistoleer..

The main thing i found with having these lovely def profs is when you start in Jedi you need loads of skill points and quick. Those profs don't last long enough to justify them. You will need 8 skill points for a Novice box. I would suggest doing all 5 Novice Boxes as a Place to start Grinding Jedi so you have already used up 40 Skill Points. Thats your very carefully planed temp down the pan.

You will then need 8 skill points per Tier one box you get.. the skill points don't last, your combat level will drop quick etc...

I would recommend you look at 3 things when choosing a temp for grinding Jedi.

1) Melee Defense. - You will need this much much more then ranged as the creatures your killing don't fire guns. stack your Melee def high. if a BH comes and is ranged, when your padawan and have dropped you elite skill points for novice jedi skill points your in the shi* anyway.

2) General Melee Speed - all the melee profs have it. us it. it will help you hit alot fast

3) General Melee Accy - Get this too. this help making sure you at least hit what your aiming for.

wouldn't a template with a ranged area attack and/ora melee area attack be the best? **disclaime** (i can't log on to try myself)

the bestidea thati can come upwith is usingcombat medic and pikeman, since you can use the area attackswith the pike, and then the area heals for the group, and hopefully rake in the xp.

from what i have read, the whole grenade thing is not that effective anymore, so i guess that is out. i will be doing some research on that anyways.

another thing is that being a jedi doesn't seem to be all that much fun at this time. that whole 'order 66' and being constantly hunted thing..

Thanks for all the great advice! It seems like some sort of Melee profession is in order, coupled with Medic.

Anyone else got any tips?

TKM/SM (Swordsman) /Doc 0004

dropping doc first and getting healer 4000 dropping SM next, offensive skillboxes first defensive last.
then there's the

TKM/Master Doc template
bad for grinding but good defensewise
i hunted a tkm/doc/healer jedi and if i wouldn't have got unexpected help she would've killed me

MBH/MDoc is what i'm using atm , i'll begin dropping bh first and keep doc as long as possible, i just love the buffs.

but honestly , if you want to keep your combat level

TKM/SM/Fencer loads of melee and ranged defense (310 melee 265 i think ranged) and you keep your combat level for a long while since you need only 2 masters for cl80, and you got practically 3 or 2 1/2, i will consider using the token respec to respec to this and grind healer 4000 asap.

Personally I'm Master Pistoleer/Master Bounty Huntress/Carbineer (0/0/4/0), and I get a little over 220K FS XP per convert because I cap 1.2 million on carbines/pistols and 900K on rifles.

im currently TKM Master swords and doc 4000

i like it because u dont have to waer armor which allows me to where modded BE clothing, and then the awesome dmg capabilities of swordsman spend a bit of cash on a nice PH its worth it, then doc 4000 gives u 3 healing abilities so you always have 1 ready and your not waiting for any to load aswell as this you have the nutrient injection for a quick buff and power boost from tk to get a nice health of 3800 without any foods. But as it was said earlier area attacks could come in very handy for raking in the xp cant say i have properly tried it yet

rifleman and whatever else you want (best is either doc or TKM)

scares the bejesus out of a BH when they see you pull out a laser rifle and are healing yourself for 500+ health and start chippin away at them.

only really scary thing is a BH/CM (especially after publish 18 when CM's are gettin buffed up healing abilities) they might be able to stand toe to toe with you if not kill you
