Thread: Just got Old Man message, but nowhere to be found...

Ok, I was just running by some Bantha's on Tatooine heading to my house when out of the blue I saw the ' an Old Man Says "Kadin, I need to speak to you about an important mission" but he was nowhere to be seen. I've read that he appears as a white dot on the screen but I zoomed all the way out and saw nothing. I waited and waited then moved a bit and it then said 'the mysterious man rushes off'.
Any ideas on what I should do now? Will it take another 2-3 days for him to come back? I don't want to wait around as I was getting ready to log off, but at the same time I don't want to ruin my chance of seeing him.

Just wait him out, he'll come back eventually there's even an option to tell him to bugger off so that means he'll come back

Ok.. any ideas why I couldn't see him around? What should I look for this time since I obviously saw no white dot.. just yellow ones from the surrounding Banthas. I even moved far away so maybe he was under one of them or something. I was expecting him to approach me so I'm just confused on what's supposed to happen.

might have been a graphic hick up, not entierly sure as i never had that problem when i talked to him

Just be patient, it takes 1 - 3 days for him to come. He will approach you calling your name. If you miss him (like I did on the first and second visit) he will come back. Wait for him in the wild or shuttle back and forth between player cities, just don't wait in the middle of an NPC city.

if it happens again try using /targ old man. that might find him. but as everyone says, just wait and he will return

Usually ( for me anyway) it takes only a few minutes for the Ol'Man to come back. The original time timit ( 1 to three days) is just for the initial visit, and for the Sith. If you missed him it'll likely NOT take another three days.

Thanks everyone. The old man did finally show back up. I must have just not noticed him as I was looking more for the dot on mymap than the actual person in the game. Now time to wait for the Sith to approach.
