My question regards free unlocks and mission rewards.

Back when P10 went live, I used a free unlock to get the luck tree in hope of getting some better loot (dunno if it has affected my looting very much though, but thats another question).

Now I fancy that Inorganic Survey Device, which should be the reward for doing Eozlins quest (the luck quest) from what I have read on these forums.

So, equipped with Novice Artisan together with a might 64 m range on my surveys, I thought I'd try to do the quest. However, once I reach Eozlin, he gives me some message, from what I reckon is the "mission completed" message. Wierd, as I have not initialised the quest at all

Opened a ticket about this, and in the response I got

"I would like to inform you that if you already have the tree, you cannot do the mission."

Well, true, I have the tree, but I was under the impression that you can do the same mission several times, if one waits for the phases to shift?

I have heard someone say they did phase 3 the first time it was around after pub 10 then did it again this time and it worked. (the crystal one). I also did phase 3 then and am a jedi but never got the mind crystal so i plan on doing it again. I haven't tried yet so i dunno if i can again or not but i will keep you posted

You can get an Inorganic Survey Device by doing Phase 2's quest from the same NPC - Eozlin.

You will unlock the FS Surveying branch in Senses. This increases your survey range, too (if you fill it up).

So, the same reward item is obtainable through what is essentially the same quest in Phase 2 and Phase 3. I have 2 of those survey devices now. Bit of advice - have the forums guide handy to this quest, as my Force Crystal got bugged during it and wouldn't let melook at what resource I had to survey for next. The guide told me what to survey and what order (order DOES matter).

Only thing that really sucks is that now you have to wait until Phase 2 comes back around for your Survey Device

From what I've heard and seen, you can only do each quest once. There is some discrepancy, some people are able to do certain quests twice but the majority will say it cannot be done.
