Always make sure you are grouped with something, even a driod or pet as there is an xp bonus for being grouped.

Even ungrouped I was good for over 4500 xp on Giant Baz nitches and finding a rancor along the way was a guaranteed 4800-5k but like I said it seems to be cut to 3k max.........

Interesting. For my part, I'd found that I got about 3100 xp when using my lightning cannon for a lot of creatures (craggy bolmas, rancors, giant baz nitch, etc.), but 4100 xp for using a scatter pistol. It's been that way since I started hunting Dathomirian big game last fall (I started playing SWG last spring), and it's still that way as of today (1/28/05). But were you lower-level when you were getting 5k xp? That also affects the equation, because of the relative difficulty of the creature.

Just did a baz nitch mission w/o a group and I used to get 4500-5000 k unarmed xp now Im getting 3k... Guess they nerfed them.....
And also Enraged Rancors 3k.. each...MMMMlet the nerfing begin... Pretty soon Kraty dragons should be worth 1k xp... Woo hoo

Im master swordsaman and i was Doing the nadeing way of geting XP i fond that if i Got a mission with a dif of 70 it would give me 3.1k XP but if i got a mission higher then 99k Dif then i got 4.5k Try joining a soloing Group i dont know what server u are but the XP is a Code and it would take Devs a hole mouth to singel out 1 Race or 2 Races of Mobs.

Actually, you might get less XP when you are using a weapon you are not master in. When I have a rifle equiped which I am master in I get full XP 5k or so, but when equippinga VK which I have onyl noveice TK +1 box I only ghet 3.5k XP

Heavy weapons always give out less xp per kill than ranged and melee weapons.
Don't know why dude is getting less xp now though. As a master swordsman, I was good for 4.8k to 5.2k per rancor all day long.

According to another post I read earlier this is a bug that is affecting some people right now. It doesn't affect everyone, just a random few, and for those it does affect, it has seemed to correct itself after a short time. Not sure if logging out then back in would help, or maybe try hunting a different mob for a bit then come back, it might correct itself then.
