Ok so I talked with the old man, then got jumped by 4 sith and was knocked out. At this point I noticed that my force crystal dissapeared. They died and I looted two waypoint data pads. The data pads didn't work..said that I couldn't understand it. (I thought it was becuse my crystal dissapeared all the sudden) I found the old man like 5 min. latter and got the crystal again, but I still can't get the data pads to give me the waypoint to the village. In my quest journal it has both the old man mission and the sith ambush checked off.

So do I have to loot something to decode the data disks? If not then can someone give me the village coords so that I can see if I can get in or not.

I am still needing help with this stupid problem...I looted to waypoint disks and no decoder/encryptian thingy to get the waypoint from the datapad. Anyone have a spare, or just one I could barrow to get the waypoint?

The WP is a secret...how do we know you are not a Sith spy? hmmmm what do you think people should we let him in or not?

hehe....anywho if I had the WP i would post it for you but I'm not in game right now. I would either do a forum search or just go to Dathomir Science Outpost and start asking around....shouldnt take long to get it either way.

If I remember correctly you will continue to get attacked till you loot a WP you can actually "read". Been a long time since I did them so might not be 100% correct. You will not be able to get past the fog until you actually are allowed after defeating the sith and getting the WP for yourself

Same thing happened to me today, wasn't expecting them so soon after this morning's visit from the old man & certainly wasn't expecting 3 x level 77 outlaws, the sith under the old system were never that tough????

Anyway I got incapped & although I got back up & finished em off I cant read my datapad & haven't got my crystal

man I hope you're right about them coming back or I'm not gonna be happy

yea so I am on my 4th crystal now...I get hit once by a sith shadow outlaw and I am down. It's gotten to the point that after I lost my 3rd the old man just ran up to me and gave me another one as soon as I was able to get back up from beign knocked out by the sith.

I AM lvl 80!!! But taking on 3 CL77's is a bit much, especially when they load-camped me at a shuttleport, I was half-dead before I realised what was going on!

Whilst I'm reassured to know that I should get another visit from the old man I'm still not convinced I can take down 3 lvl 77 outlaws again

The only people who are 80 are already Jedi!!!

Story has just gone from bad to worse, following another visit from the old man & having been entrusted with another crystal I've just taken down the 2 Sith, looted another waypoint datapad without losing my crystal & tried to use it to be told 'you must loot this object before extracting any information out of it

Er, it's in my inventory???? I HAVE looted it

Any ideas anyone?

I looted the sith datapad but it says "You must first loot this item before using it", what do I do?
Try putting it in your backpack and then taking it out, if that doesn't work wait for them to attack you again and this time kill them both before looting

Doh, thanks, I've just logged so I'll try it tomorrow, believe it or not I did read most of the FAQ's & bits before posting but it's nearly 4am here in blighty & my poor tired eyes must have missed the important bit!
