Thread: The path to becoming a Jedi should be more like the movies.

I think that becoming a Jedi should be more...based on the movies rather then getting badges....and then continuesly grinding until you have enough xp to change into fs xp. I don't know about you but this way is really boring and has gotten old after just 1 day of doing it. I think that this game would be more enjoyable if maybe every "new fs" person on the game would get there very own....master if you will. Yeah it may kinda soundlike it wouldn't workbut....think of it an npc much like the old man comes to you and talks to you and because he sences the force in you and he wants to train you to use the force. He gives you the force crystal and tells you to go to the village for a series of trials to make sure your strong enough to become a jedi....what I mean is that your Combat level is high enough to survive during missions...say maybe a CL of 70 is required and if you don't meet the requirements then he turns you away saying your not ready to train in the ways of the force yet.....of course you would need somthing else then just a CL of 70 like badges. Then if you meet those requirments then he grants your new master permission to train you in the ways of the force he then gives you your force crystal and you never see the guy again. He then gives you a seriese of missions through your force crystal that you have to complete. Like missions that you have to go to far away planets and protect people or villages from attackers.....or settle disbutes between two factions ona planet by doing missions and settling things down. Things that can take awhile but you will be able to log off during and come back to later if you need to. These missions would have to be long and difficult. Taking a person atleast a day or two to complete....maybe longer, and with every completed mission you gain force sensitive xp like the longer and harder the mission the more you gain....or shorter the mission the less you gain. Eventually after say 15 long missions you gain enough fs xp to train in using a lightsaber and starting your force training, and then you get sent off to do more missions but this time with a lightsaber....and these missions would be harder (obviously) and longer.....or shorter depending on weather or not you diside to help in the mission by settling things calmly or just ending them really fast by slaughtering everything.....like maybe if your sent to protect a senator....don't feel like doing it? assassinate the senator yourself and earn some darkside force xp. Of course turning on your mission sounds easy but put in some gaurds for that senator that are level 75-80 that impediatly turn on you when you attack em and it gets harder. Or your supposed to settle something on kashyyk between some wookies and trandoshans.....don't like the wookies kill em...and earn some darkside fp because wookies are obviously sided with the rebels. And you can also make some of these missions in citys like ones that noone ever goes to because theres noone there....might get people to go to those places more often so they arn't just wasted space.....or maybe out in the middle of nowhere on tatooine. Or maybe while your inbetween missions or going to one a bounty hunter npc comes after you and you either have to kill him drive him away or die.Give the jedi some space missions to....and eventually the more things you do the more fs xp you get and the more jedi skills you learn then you eventually get dumped by your master when you master jedi yourself. I dunno but I thought this was a good idea but I havn't slept in 27 hours and this is the best I could come up with. Not exactly like the movies but closer to it and more enjoyableI think.

enter is your friend.

In any case, no. a master apprentice relationship is needed, but not untill you are already padawan. The village helps teach patience, something you need for the jedi grind, since you need considerably more xp to fill boxes, and will lose it often as well

And CL 70? Are you smoking crack? That is in no way fair to those of us who chose not to be a full combat template. I'm no where close to that CL, but I can still get the FS quests and grind done, np. And I am going for jedi, think of those poor crafters out there that don't even want jedi, they just want the FS Crafting Mastery boxes so they can be better crafters (let's face it, that FS tree will do no one else any good). So, that's a big no to your idea!
