Or at least I missed it in the FAQ. Anyway, I got access to the village monday and picked the one quest that was borked as my phase I quest (Crafting). Last night we went into phase II and fortunately the quest I picked does work (surveying). It took me about an hour to drive around on my speederbike and find the various resources. So, now all I have to do is come up with two gazillion FS senses XP. Which looks like it's going to be mostly surveying & merchant for me (Master Artisan, Novice Merchant, no scout, no entertainer).

Now for the actual question; Do I have to grind and fill up all four tiers of the surveying branch before the village shifts to phase III? If I don't finish all 4 tiers, do I have to wait until phase II rolls around again? So, since I already missed phase I (all one day of it ) it will take me seven phases to qualify for the padawan trials?

you have as long as you want to fill the boxes. as long as you complete the quest and unlock the branch during the phase you can get the xp and fill the boxes at any time you wish

OK, that's kind of good for the future. Still kind of makes me irked that I picked the broken quest for phase I, 'cause I could have finished that one too.
