Of course it is. Not only that, but it is a good way to make some cash and take advantage of the loot drops. I've gotten 4 good Jedi SEAs so far packed away. Also, by taking part in the Jedi/BH PVP bounties you can learn more about how BHs use tactics to defeat Jedi. Hopefully you can be better prepared once you hit Jedi and are now on the opposite end of the hunt.
