You definitely do not need to be superman to solo this mission; however, if this is the walk the commander back crap mission, then you need to get one that IS close. Getting him out wasn't a big deal [I'm a tkm/md] but the base that I went after was so far away that I couldn't get him back in time. I would definitely suggest that you do it with somebody just for the walk back [they watch your back as you walk].

One thing that I noticed about the sith is that they tend to disappear when they are in front of the base. I ran inside, killed the few who followed me. Than I captured the captain, waited for the majority of the sith to disapppear and then walked my way out. I had to run a little bit [the commander will catch up with you but just make sure he doesn't take the opportunity to run away]. It was a little dicey but definitely doable.

It also depends on your CL; all the sith are like 76 and 77 so, as a level 80, they didn't hit me for too much damage and I could kill um off pretty easily.

Thanks Bretti! I will pay attention to the distance of the base as I am VERY concerned about the walk back.

As far as grinding with MBH/MS it's great! I've been a smuggler forever and respec'd MBH for the content but yeah, I can rack up crazy rifle, carbs and pistol xp plus the temp is a lot of fun to play. I like being able to get away from a fight when I need to.

In fact the whole reason I'm even becoming a padawaan is for the purpose of being hunted so's I can get away.

I did it solo easily,

Im Master CH / Master BH, I pulled my Greater Sludge Panthers out then went to the back side of the base ( the turrets dont shoot you there). I sent the cats to one turret, then the second turret, then the third turret. Then I went to the front dropped the shields sent the cats on the door and started blasting it as well. I knocked the door down just in time to escaped the frenzied sith outside. Once inside I went to the tent area blasted that door. Then i kept my cats at the second doorway then went to where the sith were outside. Gave one a bleed shot which he comes in the base after you. When he turned the corner at the second door area I sent my cats on him and shot him as well. Rinse and repeat till you killed you amount then the commander spawns. Wait till the sith despawn the walk out like its your house.

The real key was keeping the sith from the captain or getting in combat for too long, I found if the capturer or in this case yourself gets fighting this sith for too long the commander walks away. Or if the sith get too close they tell thecommander not to help the aurillians, after a few of those comments the commander poisens himself. I used my health crystal as well, when i got to the base the timer on the crystal said i had the commander for 1hr 45 min it took me. I used the cats to keep the sith away from the commander.

I hope that helps you

I might have to try that tonight. Going to be on very late EST.

I have a wp disk (my second) and I have the code for the shield.

I've scouted out a base and noticed it's considerably easier to approach it from the back.. and I have read a couple of really good post like that one from Kuval.

I logged out in the village so I will start from there.

I'm a MSmugg/MBH/Pistols 1001/ novice Commando... I suspect that Concussion(Ican AoE it if need be), root, and feign death will come in VERY handy on the walk back (they helped me solo the Corvette destroy and rescue missions).

Someone wrote you would have to be Superman to do this but there are those who claim to have done it.

Anyone ever do this?

I solo'ed it, but what a pain. Its not worth solo'ing.

Use a droid to take out shields before you lower them.

Use nest to help take out 5 Sith.

Take out gates, run in and get leader. Wait for despawn and leave.

Pairs of Sith will attack on the way back, but they walk just like the captain so they have a hard time catching up.

Keep a close eye on the captain when going up hills. He doesn't like steep ones.

The walk back is where you need help. Have friendsscout out a path and take out agro's in the way. I wish I would have done that. It would have saved a lot of time.
