Thread: What's the best way to get a group to kill Melichae?

I am planning to get some friends, but it still won't be enough, I'm afraid. Should I just spam in coronet for a big killing group...any other ideas on getting the group I need to finish the exit quest?

you don't need a massive group.. you need to use tactics.. wade in there and you'll likely die.
get yourself 2 riflemen, a tank (like tk/swordsman) and whatever you are. get the riflemen to conceal shot the 4 crystals keeping their bikes out incase they get agro'd. you stay at distance. then get the riflemen to conceal shot the sith. finally tank to get melichae and the rest to help. also handy to have a doc, but not a necessity.
as for how to get these people, you could just advertise at coronet - offering to pay people, or get into a decent guild where its members help each other out. main thing to remember is like i said... its tactics over numbers.

I found that a group with: 2 tanks (all brawler skills, TK, fencer, swords, pike....master one elite), 2 ranged (BH, Rifleman), a doctor (and/or MCM), 3 misc melee, 2 misc ranged. Your best bet it to scope out the area and find which crystal is the one you need to kill 1st (usally a lighter shade than the others...light green...otherones should be light red). Begin to fire on it (using max range to reduced agros) and if it self heals, you got the wrong one. Once you find which one is the correct one continue to kill it (don't break the max range)once the crystal is deadprocede onto the other crystals. Now keep in mind if someone agros Mellichae (hopefully not you) have that person pull him out of the camp (run straight), this will help the whole group out (btw that person most likely to die if burst run is used to earlier). Mellichae will get agro'd at one point, whoever it is run straight (away from the group) and remember where you left him. Now you can finish the camp. Once the camp is done, go find Mellichae and make sure you all focus on 1 stat pool....mind is usually best (for Swordsman...does bleed, TK, rifleman). Keep him intimidated and bleeding and anything else you're capable of. You might have to run a few times to get it right, but that is my recommendation.

Well someone on our server found one of the best ways to kill him. They pulled him into coronet starportand he slaughtered loads of people.
could not stop laughing while reading the chat coming threw the channels.
took a while but they got him in the end, not sure whether that was before or after destroying the 3 crystal things

I sent a tell to a bud of mine who is jedi knight...he brought a few more knights...i had a few lower level jedi....i had all the active members of my guild....it lasted about 45 seconds.

I did it on Naritus with only one other person. I was at rifles and he was a the brawler tank. I cleared out the crystals and the thugs with conceal shot. Then the brawlertank moved inonMellichae's sidekick while I wasted his mind. Once he was gone, we moved in on Mel and did the same.
We lost our group to two hours of waiting for CSR to move a crystal out of a house for us, so we had no choice but to do it alone.

OMG... That is TOO funny... ROFL
BTW If anyone on Valcyn needs help with him, give me a shout if im online. See my sig below for my current professions. Would love a crack at him, would also help prepair me for when I have to face him next month.

that is the best, i find it funny when u drag a very hard mob, to a very populated area. reminds me of why i drag DJM to the MO on dant. thats
