Hey all, if you're like me and get to play a few hours a week. Then You may be happy to know that even through casual grinding, the way of the Jedi is still very much an easy task to achieve...
Here's what i came up with.
First the numbers:
1.8 million fs xp/week
7.2 million fs xp/month
This means you can be done with the xp grind in 1 month. For those who've already got their 6 unlocks and are now finally doing the grind, this is a very nice bit of info, as it won't be seeming to take nearly as long as first thought.
How i did it:
I find I have about an hour a night to play this game.
In that hour i do everything i can to maximise my xp earning to get FS XP. So I went Commando 3/0/0/0 ( i would've gone to 4, but ran out of skill points hehe).
Ok, i confess, on friday and saturday nights, i often find i have about 3-4 hours a night to spare, when the wife and kids are sleeping.
This helps, but is not integral.
Things you'll need to ensure you have for this route:
Commando 3/0/0/0 (recommend 4/0/0/0)
Enough credits to purchase grenades (Imp Dets/Thermal Dets, whichever you prefer), grenade power ups (33% max damage are the ones i go for mostly), Vasarian Bandy by the crate and Vagnerian Canape by the crate too, and armour with good blast and kinetic resistances. For best all round, go for composite. It's worth it due to the length of time it lasts you. I have had the same suit the entire grind, just repaired it as needed
Organise: Ensure you have all your nades hotkeyed, alonside vital other hotkeys such as: Peace. Call vehicle. Drink brandy. Eat Canape. and a few attacks of your chosen combat profession to finish off the runners in a lair.
Ok, get into a solo group. Get buffed for medical buffs. Forget mind buffs, they just waste your precious play time. I've never used them ever.
Once in a solo group. Go to Dathomir Science Outpost and get 2 Giant Baz Nitch missions in the same direction or as near as dammit (NE, N or W, NW, etc. all work fine).
Jump on your swoop, drink up two doses of brandy before you reach your target.
Once there, begin your milking lair method that can be read about in a thousand other posts on this forum hehe.
Finally get some c22's and blow the lair up with those. Cheap and it gets you that extra 4k of combat xp that you wouldn't otherwise get.
Then head over to the other lair and finish that one off the same way.
This should net you approx 240k combat xp if done right in about 15-20 minutes. Then grab a final mission to the S and one extra to the S too.
Do one of them, cap your combat xp, then while you're south, head towards the flatter lands and then point towards the village and go. It's a faster route to the village this way and will avoid nightsisters and the like. You should make the journey in approximately 5 minutes instead of the average 8 mins.
Once you've converted, go back and finish that final mission you took. This gives you a head start on the xp earning. you should be able to cap out twice and convert both times for 200k in exactly one hour. It may take you a few extra minutes to get this down to a science at first. But it's still very quick.
So now you have this part worked out. Spend 1 hour a night, for 5 nights. This will give you the 1 million FS XP.
Then you have your weekends. Most of us have a nice 2 hour space we can do what we want to in. I find i get mine when the wife and kids are asleep.
I usually have about 3-4 hours a night on these nights.
But being realistic here, 2 hours works perfectly.
If you do exactly as above for those 2 hours a night, you will earn 400k FS XP each night. So 2 nights of this gives you 800k FS XP.
So your total for 7 days grinding (9 hours a week) you will have 1.8million FS XP.
Do this for 4 straight weeks and presto!. 7.2 million fs XP for a grand total 36 hours work.
I hope this helps our casual players. It certainly worked for me
Good luck and keep your chins up, it's not as long a grind as it looks

Nice guide, 5*s.
Although after about 2 hours of that (nevermind weeks), I think I'd have to top myself due to the mind numbing monotony of it all.
I guess I'm not cut out to be a Jed-eye.
that's the beauty of solo groups.
Whilst you are doing the boring grind. you chatter away. It really helped me to get through the whole thing. I wouldn't of managed it half as fast without the people to talk to in the solo group chat.
My main goal was to let other casual players know and see that it's not out of their league to do this grind. That it won't take them years and years.
Even if they only have 30 mins to spare in the week, it can still be done, just add an extra month. 2 months still isn't a whole lot of time.

Awesome post, NJ_Ragman! Here are a couple possible variations:
1. To earn some money during the grind: grab novice scout if you have the skillpoints and harvest the creatures you kill. The Ranger forums have a nice FAQ (available in their main sticky post, if I recall correctly) describing which creature resources are needed byvarious professions. To select which creatures to go for, firstdoa search onwww.swgcraft.com to find high-quality creature resources currently availalbe on your server. Use the guidelines in the ranger FAQ to figure out which properties to filter on. Then search on www.swgcreatures.com to find creatures with the needed resource AND ALSO low blast resistance so you can kill them quickly with grenades. There are lots of creatures on lots of planets besides baz nitches on dathomir that work great with grenades. Just search on swgcreatures to find ones without annoying attacks like blind and intimidate (which lower your damage output). If you have JTL, the time it takes to fly to the Dathomir Science Outpost after you're ready to convert isn't very bad. It's just a little trade-off: earn credits, but take a little longer to do the grind.
For example, avian meatand herbivore meatwith high OQ and PEare highly sought after by doctors.Docs need this stuff to make buffpacks and will pay as much as 250 credits per unit (cpu) for really high quality. To find a buyer, try looking on the trade forums here or send polite /tells to people in-game with the relevant professions in their titles.
To increase your yield, you could buy a harvesting droid (I think +110 or +120 is the highest possible rating) and program it to harvest for you for a nice bonus. The advantage is that you can instruct the droid to harvest while you are in combat. The disadvantage is that it is much more tedious (with longer delays) than harvesting yourself, and occasionally the droid will get spooked and run away. Oh, and you have to replace the droid's batteries too, maybe once every 2 or 3 buff sessions. You could also grab some more boxes from the Hunting branch of Scout. I'm sorry I don't have the clickieshere, but the Droid, Scout, and Ranger forums contain great information on the yield rates for various combinations of Hunting skill levels and harvesting droid ratings. Maybe you can do a little search during a break at work or something
.
2. Since your buffs will protect you pretty well against most creatures, grind with high-kinetic (70% or greater)ubese armorinstead of composite. Ubese has very low Blast resist, which means it will not wear out very fast (even though it has lower condition than composite), and you won't even notice the lack of good blast protection. Plus Ubese is a lot cheaper than composite. AND if you're lucky enough to have an anti-decay kit, slap one of those on your Ubese jacket, and your suit will last you a long time.
Casual gamers unite!
Yes, I agree that it shouldn't have to be this way. It's a game, not a job, and I am among the ranks that think that SOE screwed up big-time by making things horribly tedious for casual gamers who want to experience Jedi. There is no fun or interesting path to Jedi that will take less than a decade. If I had my way, you'd get 100k xp for killing a Sith Thug, not half as much as you get from a freakin'baz nitch. But hey, if we're reading these forums, chances are we've decided to weather the storm anyway. So let's get this grind done as efficiently as we can so we can try out that Jedi thing.
