Hello, I am sorry if this has already been asked, but I created my character well before patch 9, and wanted to know If I mastered3 holo professions would I get a free branch unlock. Thanks for all your help.

step 1 - /che to see if youre force sensitive
step 2 - get the old man
step 3 - get attacked by the siths
step 4 - go to waypoint and kill the siths
step 5 - go to dathomir
step 6 - drive to the coordinates
step 7 - talk to Paemos

You should be able to train in 3 branches and fill them completely for free.

If I mastered the Professions now would I get the free unlocks? Thanks for the quick reponse.

The way it seems to work is that for every 2 professions you mastered you get one unlock, and they credit you one extra unlock for the odd ammounts in between.
For instance I got 3 unlocks having mastered 4 of the non-silent holos meaning i must of mastered one silent.
A friend of mine mastered like 20 classes includeing the 4 non-silent holos and got 2 unlocks.
Just a guess on how it works on my part... but thats the way it seems.

The FREE UNLOCKS don't work anymore, it's important to say this so that people just starting out don't waste time mastering proffessions hoping to get some free trees... it doesn't work anymore.
As for getting free unlocks based on your mastered holo profs pre patch 9, i did all my holo profs and then a further 16 profs, in total i mastered 22 proffessions and i only got 3 free unlocks, so i guess you just need to have been lucky and mastered your silents to get the most from the old system.
The only real way to find out is to try.
As for mastering a holo prof now, i'm pretty sure this will have no effect at all on your free unlocks. I take you mean you looked at the holocron pre patch 9 and just haven't mastered what it told you to yet ? I'm sure that system has now gone out the window so i personally wouldn't waste my time mastering it.

Yeah it's got to be kinda random i did all my holo's till silent and 17 proffessions i think like 20 in all and i got 5 unlocks free

yeah.... i mastered one holo, DE, and i also mastered 17 other professions.... not a single free unlock for me.
