Thread: Request for future fixes to FS skills: Make Vehic Ctrl apply to starfighters

There is clear precedent in the movies, books, and comics for knowledge of the Force making characters in the SW universe better pilots. If the Force can make you better at driving a speeder, why not also starships? If you have two pilots of equal skill, with identical starfighters, and the only difference being one was Force-Sensitive and the other not, wouldn't the Force user be more likely to come out on top?

Devs, please consider adding minor boosts to starship maneuverability and speed to this skill, similar to the minor boost in maneuverability and speed that Vehic Control already gives to ground vehicles. The benefits given should be a passive "buff" applicable to all starships piloted by the holder of the Vehicular Control skill, and should be just enough to give an "edge" and nothing more. Comments welcome

It won't happen, because the Devs have stated that the ground game, and space will be different, with shipwright being the only exception.

How many times must it be said that JTL was not meant to affect the ground game in any way? Space is twitch and jedi have no advantage. This gives the folks who loathe jedi and force sensitivity the ability to go to space and be on an "equal" footing with everyone else. Twitch it is.

Extremely lame idea. JTL is twitch based, the best thing about it is that in PvP it's skill vs skill, not who can mash F1 the fastest. No one should be given an advantage over anyone else in space due to their ground skills.

ROFL! My friend I've been playing twitch-based flight sims longer than I've been playing any other game genre, and even as half-assed of an attempt at "twitch" as JtL is, I certainly don't need the help. Just goes to show that once again, how little the devs care about realism in this RPG. I was wondering how many replies it would take before someone said something ignorant.

Oh, and by the way, no, I do not possess the Vehicular Control skill. Get your facts right before you flame.
