Sith thugs and pirates from the village? I am losing alot of mind points against them. I think my armor is 80 kinetic/80 energy.

80% base armor...so basically your PvP armor if you have some. I used 39% Stun and 90% base armor against them which is my best.

Get it sliced andhope for encumbrance slices. I got lucky, a smuggler buddy did my set, and out of 9 pieces, 5 came out encumbrance sliced. It dropped over 200 points from the mind encumbrance..

i as using 80 kinetic/80 energy and 65% base and i managed to survuve...it takes a bit more than armor to get through that quest...you need to think about things a bit more...

I use 80/80/69 base (pre-sliced) with all pieces sliced for various stats some are up to 86 base and some drop encumberance and they beat the crap out of me as well. I think the real key is having good defenses in your template.

Its not that I am not thinking and just rushing in but more of taking on a pirate and then another pirate or thug comes and starts shooting at me which is what was killing my mind. One on one, I was doing fine, but the guns they were shooting with was taking anywhere from 400-900 mind. I also found out from a helpful person there, to ditch my comp arms, bracers, and legs and to start wearing my helmet. I changed to that and found that it not only freed up some willpower and focus (of course that is a given) but just by adding the helmet, I took very little mind damage from other spawn that usually hit me for decent mind damage. I hope by changing my armor and wearing it without the above mentioned pieces that I will do much better and I am also going to start going when more are there. There are usually very few people when I show up so I end up getting targeted alot. Thanks for all the suggestions.
