Thread: Can jedi wear these?

Getting really close now to doing the exit quest then starting on my padawan trials. However, i do have a question i don't think i've seen before. Can jedi wear the typical clothes that are used for CA's and AA's? Such as the Mabari belt, the Ubeese Armour Shirt, and the Ubeese Bandolier? If anyone knows for sure i would really appriciate if you could clue me in. Thanks in advance!

Besides the belt, you can wear only clothing, no armor. You cannot use force powers while wearing armor. Remember that you are given a robe when you become a jedi. When you wear your Jedi robe, you can only wear a hat and gloves. Some gloves take up the forearm slot and can't be worn with robes, so make sure you have the riight type. To be safe, start placing you SEAs on a hat and then regular gloves. There is a debate as to whether robes help out a new padawan. Robes help you regenerate your Force bar and give you and extra 100 points for your bar. I've found that after you get all of your novice boxes, your not going to depelete your force bar fast enough using a 1st gen LS to make wearing robes worthwhile. I, and a lot of other Padawan, use BE clothing with high stun defense, bleed defense, fire resist, etc. If you have novice medic, healing increase is also desireable. When you get to higher Jedi skill levels, your forceusage ismuch greater so the robes may have a place in your strategy.It may take up to 10 minutes to regen a fully depleated force bar.Robes speed up this process.Still many Jedi use askill that convertsHAM to force regen and have abandoned the robes.

correct me if i'm wrong, but according to a lot of padawan's i know, they always say to get as much xp as an initiate before you become a padawan. This way you're doing a little less grinding in circumstances in which you can get on the terminals.
Also, if you use this strategy, you would still be able to wear your armor and therefore would have better defenses than you would as a Padawan.
If I'm totally wrong, someone tell me.

You still get visibility while an initiate, however you will not show up on the terminals until you complete the padawan trials. So do not go showing everyone your fancy lightstick cuz once you finish that last trial your rear will go right up on the terms. If you equip armor, your lightsaber damage will drop to nothing. Think of it this way, equipping any armor immediately cancels your certification for the LS.

Heres a "DONT DO THIS" for you up-and-coming Initiates and Padawans:
I am low level padawan and still retain myMasterRifle/TKM skills for now. For some stupid reason I decided to put my LightSaber on my tool bar near my rifles and VKs. I was out hunting Krayts as a Rifleman the other night with some friends and was getting hammered by a Krayt. I decided to switch to VKs to pick up the extra defense, but in the heat of the moment I hit the LightSaber button instead of the VK button. So there I was equipping my LS in front of about 20 people. NOT COOL!
So if you do put your LS on your tool bar, at least put it somewhere where you're not going to accidentally hit it! I don't know if I am on the terms. Haven't had anyone show up looking for me yet.

Good advice. I have two toolbars I use for combat. One for Padwan combat and one for my old skills. Therefore I don't run the risk of accident. I also have a macro on my Padwan toolbar that does a /peace, removes my robes, unequips my saber,equips a pistol, and puts onBE clothing. When someone approaches I'm like Superman changing back into Clark Kent.

yes you can wear ubese shirts, not sure about the others, ive tested it myself and you can use them. Do not know wether you use new shirts or pre-nerfed ones though.

here is what ya do, pick up novice brawler. put on comp armor (no im not crazy). equip LS. use berserk. from what i hear you still do around the same damage execpt you have much better def and you are safer.

so i would assume that psg's are a no-no also. does dodge and the melee def associated with fencer and TKA only count when you have weapons for each profession equiped? or does the def mods count all the time?
