I've played a lot of mmorpgs over the years, started back with the realm when it was still in alpha testing. Thoes were the days. Also played a lot of UO, EQ, EQ2, AC, AC2, AO, WOW, etc.

SWG was awesome, the only mmorpg where I bought a second account. Back in the beginning no one was grinding professions, people played what they wanted and what they enjoyed. There was fun PvP happening, imp killing was great! There were no Jedi. Sure everyone dreamed about it, but no one knew how. Then along came holocrons..

Now we all knew how to become a jedi, master the professions the holocron tells you, then master a random one. Some people hated it, some people didn't. I didn't mind it, I enjoyed trying professions I would not normally have tried. Yes it put a strain on the economy, it made finding quality goods harder. But damn was it easy to get rid of BF, more dancers then you could shake a stick at. Force crystals became a hot item and hunting nightsisters was a blast.

So I did like everyone else. I started grinding professions, but it wasn't that bad, got to have fun in the process trying new and different professions. I ended up at 24 professions before they changed the system again.

Then along came the village and the fs xp exchange. I thought it would be a good idea, I thought I would get credit for the 24 professions I've already done and would already be close to jedi. So I did the theme parks, I did the PoI's, etc. Finally I got to go to the village.

3 unlocks. 24 out of 32 professions done, and 3 unlocks. My wife who was at 19 professions got 4 unlocks.

So lets see, that was what, about 1 1/2 years ago and it just started phase 3. So if I had grinded I would finally have opened my 6th and final tree and be able to grind that out. I admit I am very confused about the phases and the trees they unlock, maybe one of the phases would unlock one I already did and would be unable to unlock another for another phase or 2.

I have an active account for swg still. Only because I have the soe station pass. I have been tempted to install swg again and try it. I quit the day I made it to the village and haven't been back.

So between the flames and insults, could someone explain to me, if I come back, since it is phase 3 now, can I unlock the trees from phase 1 and 2, or can I only unlock 1 tree, then wait for the next phases?

SWG had more potential then any mmorpg to date, and was living up to it, until the jedi system. I have no hard feelings twords thoes who made jedi, some of my best friends in the game were jedi. I just sucked too much, or had really bad luck.

You need to unlock a tree during the appropriate phase. Blah, I just realized the Combat upgrade is coming. I won't even bother finishing what i was going to type. Don't waste your time man. The CU is going to be a real room emptier. When it hits, everyone is goign to pull their shirts up over their noses and run out of the room. The devs will be left sitting alone in the room with a silly "what did i do" look on their faces. Honestly, troll around and you will see.

Actually you will never be able to unlock any trees...no matter how long you wait. You want to know why? THERE ARE NO TREES TO UNLOCK....ONLY BRANCHES !@!@!@

man I love saying that....why do people call them trees anyway....if they were trees then the whole group of 4 trees would be a forest....do you ever master a forest in this game, no i dont think so!!!!

Seems not much has changed since I last played, I installed and logged in today to see.

I was still sitting in the village where I quit the day I first got there. Yep, I have to unlock 3 BRANCHES and a ton of grinding. Not gonna happen. I've since uninstalled swg.

If you want to unlock trees from phase 1 and 2 you have to wait , for them to come around again. Right now you can only luck one tree from phase 3.

There:

Combat prowess= M. Accuracy (Captain Sarquillo)

Enhanced reflexes= R. Defense ( Dageerin)

Hightened senses= Luck (Eozlin)

Crafting Mastery = Experimentation (Quharek)

(See any mistakes plz do correct)
