Thread: Dropping Quests that are known to be bugged?

My first day in the village, I took the crafter quest. Now I find out it's completely bugged.

Players can't access the "Recursive Analyzer" and "Multi-phase Calibrator" inside the hut for the Phase 1 "Repair the Sensor Array" quest. They are told that they can't see the objects (similar to the Cloner bug). This is currently gating players from being able to complete the quest.

Is there any way to drop this quest and take another? I know that there normally isn't, but since this is a known bug can anything be done about it by sending in a ticket?

i have this question to i recently (jest today) started the medic quest and when i took the frist mission the "cure the sick" will not give you the schematic needed for colpeting the quest i am a master medic master doctor and master swordsman. I really didnt want to do thie quest in the frist place and my tickets were never answerd

I hate to bring this up . . .
but before you get most quests, the NPC will tell you that if you take the quest, you won't be able to work for anyone else for a while (ie. the end of the phase) If you took the quest anyway . . . I think you're outa luck.
sorry to break it to ya but SOE or CSR or the Devs probably won't do a thing for ya . . . you chose to take the quest

yeah im awar of that but the quest system is bugged andi cant get the schematic so theres no point in doing it

Like I said in my post, I know that normally once you take a quest you are locked in for the rest of the phase.
The question is having to do with the fact that these quests are known to be bugged and if there is anything that can be done about it based on that. If not, oh well, grind, grind, grind.

Same problem here. I haven't done anything out at the Village in about 6 months. I decided 2 weeks ago to pick it back up and luckily got in with enough time to finish the phase 4 quest. I took the phase 1 crafting quest not knowing it was bugged. I have this sneaking suspicion that the CSR ticket I sent in will be ignored and I'll just have to wait til the next phase. No biggie, I have 3 branches unlocked that I can grind through now anyway.

yeah dude my CSR ticket was ignored to heh well jest have to wait till phase 2 :/

Okay, the fix for this quest is to use the equipment that is OUTSIDE the hut. The stuff inside is useless.
On Sunrunner this works just fine. I was able to begin the quest without a hitch using the equipment outside the hut.
My understanding is that there should be a set of equipment outside the hut on every server to defeat this problem. If there isn't, notify a CSR and they can bump it up.
As of now, I am happily frustrating myself on the quest, instead of being frustrated trying to get the bloody thing. =)
