OK, I've been "on vacation" for a while, but used to be once you got to a certain stage in the jedi process you got an extra character slot, the force sensitive one, that you could use on any server, even one you already have a character on. Does this still exist? What stage do you get it?

You still get a second character slot but it's a little different now. Now it is your main toon that becomes force sensitive (see stickies for guides on this process). Once that happens, you go through the FS grind to unlock Jedi on your main toon. When you complete the trials to become a jedi padawan, the second character slot opens.

Yeah, I read up about all that. I was just wondering about the "new" character slot. Can that still go on a server that you already have a character?

I'm pretty sure the second character is on the same server you unlock your jedi on, just like it was before.

Yes, the new character you get when you reach padawan rank can be placed on the same server. Your main character is the jedi and the alt is a clean slate to do whatever with.

It is a brand new character. No badges, no force sensitivity. The only (sometimes annoying) thing it shares in common with your main character is it will have the same macros (which keep running when you change between the two).

Your main, which has completed 6 branches of Force Sensitive skills, becomes the Jedi. However, your new 2nd character can also complete the requirements to become "Glowy", proceed through the Village of Aurillia quests, and also become Jedi.
