Thread: Building My Jedi questions..

Hello everyone. As you can tell by the number of posts I'm pretty new here. I apologize in advance for asking any questions that have been covered 1000 times or that I missed in the FAQs and stickies. I've been soloing my way toward Jedi. I still have Nym's Themepark and the 2 Warren badges to go to get glowing.

I'm currently wearing 80% / 80% / 69% base composit armor. I've been fighting unbuffed with just brandy. But I needed full buffs, brandy and canapes just to equip the armor. I'm using a Powerhammer but it hasn't been sliced.

I'm Trandosian. I was wondering if anyone might supply with with an ideal stat migration to maximize myself?

My current tree has me as 2 X 2 X combat medic and an X X 2 X swordsman. I alsmo have pistol 4 in marksman, scout 3 4 2 X and artisan 1 X X X this allows me to basically harvest my iwn items and create my own power ups and add traps. I'm disappointed with combat medic as most creatures resist my poison a stimpacks.

Does anyone have advice for my grind to Jedi since it will mostly be solo? A good carpenter measures twice and cuts once. I hope I can pick a few brains for personal experience as how to best shape my character for the coming quests and grinds. Thanks.

Well not sure about the stat migration, but I'llrecommend this for grinding:

1) Get full health and mind buffs

2) Pop 2 brandy

3) Pop some ahrisa

Using this as a start you should have no problems in combat, your specials take little to no HAM cost b/c of the buff/brandy/ahrisa combo and you will find yourself having a much easier time.

My only advice is to complete an elite profession. Or two. I went with Swords/Doc and I breezed right thru the Village, and the grinding. Swords has some massive damage output, allowing me to cap my 2hand exp in about 1-1/2 hours. Thats two trips to Village per buff session.

After grind was done, I switched to TKM/4442 Doc, as I no longer had the skill points to master doc. I took TKM because most Jedi said it helps immensely, and the rest in Doc so I could continue to buff myself.

I was in your position. I had some Scout, Artisan to harvest meat, hides, resources. But I decided that the task at hand was TO ACHEIVE JEDI. With that in mind, I consolidated my skills, and banged on the Village til I was done. All those skill points you have in multiple professions are nice, but they won't help you thru the Village very easily.

Once I got my second character, I reasoned, I would be able to make that Crafter/Harvester toon and have that aspect back.

Given the current buffing system, I'd say do a stat migration to max out every single Mind stat as much as you can.

Try to achieve 1000 Mind, 800 Focus, and 1000 Willpower. You might have a hard cap as a Trandoshan, not sure, so maybe your Focus and Willpower can only go to 650.

Now, I know, your Health and Action will be rather low. Probably anywhere from 400 to 500. This is okay. You're probably wondering why.

Here's why:

Well, Mind buffing (from Entertainers) works by doubling your current Mind stat amounts. 1000 Mind buffed = 2000 Mind. 600 Mind buffed = 1200 Mind. The more you have allocated to Mind stats, the bigger your Mind buff will be.

Health and Action buffs (from Docs) are an exact stat improvement - for example, a +2100 buff. This means your Health and Action would be 2100 + whatever your stat is, say, 400.So, yourfinal Health and Action stats after buffing would be 2500.

Using this "lower Health/Action, max out Mind" method, it equalizes your HAM for combat. Instead of having a fantastic Health/Action stat after buffing of like 3200, yet Mind stats while buffed are only 1200 and Focus/WIllpower are low too, you have roughly 2000 across the board, which will makes you a formidable combatant.

The drawback of low Health and Action, however, is that you are more vulnerable when not buffed. Just a heads up.

As for Mind stats, be sure to max out Willpower before Focus. Willpower is what makes your Mind heal faster. Focus reduces your specials cost. You can take Ahrisa (food) to improve your Focus for about 40 minutes, if you need it.

Finally, it's normal to have to buff to get yourself into composite armor. Even if you could fit into it, your stats are dramatically gimped without buffs. The point behind this is to have a trade-off for having such nice resists to damage, yet the encumbrance makes you heal slower.

How in the hell could you NOT take this the wrong way? There are much more cordial ways of telling someone to do some research. "You are clueless" isn't one of them. You sir, are a cad.

if you're going to be using a lot of buffs to grind the village, then do a stat migration that max's out your mind pools and then spread the rest to health and action. The doctor buff will take care of the rest. Just keep in mind that this setup will make you very vulnerable while not buffed.
