Thread: Anyone else wondering about FS mission difficulty?

I don't mind a hard mission, but why is the difference in difficulty between different combat missions so big.

I am currently attempting the phase three melee accuracy mission, and helping a buddy with his dagereen mission. (Forgot what you get for that).

His mission is a walk in the park to be honest. Sure it's gated over three days, but that's no big deal with a three week slot to finish it.

Not asking for favors or something, just wondering about this.

I'm not sure, but I'd guess it's maybe related to the perceived value of the reward? The mind-buff crystal is undoubtedly far better than a defence buff with only 5 uses. I did the senses quest for luck, and the surveying for that is undoubtedly a very easy mission, but the only reward is the inorganic survey tool, that just saves a miner a few inventory slots.

It would seem to be all in perception then, for a crafter a tool like that would be valuable, for a fighter it wouldn't.

I just think it's a bit odd that one mission involves killing a few near no thread thugs whilst, in the same phase, another mission involves killing 4 (or 20 if you are unlucky) nightsister strength thugs.

1 on 1 I can take one down per about 10-15 minutes, 4 on 1 (me being the one) I die quite tragically.
