Thread: Is this a common bug with the luck quest?

I took the FS Luck tree quest and I've encountered a problem which I'm fairly certain is not intented. The first part of the quest required me to survey for iron and find a 50% concentration which I did without problem. In fact the concentration was 56% right in the village lucky me. However, the next step required me to survey for gas and I encountered this problem. Whenever I try to survey for gas my tool comes up blank, as if there is no gas in shift at all. I have verified from many sources that there are multiple spawns of gas on Lowca right now, and I have used tools made by multiple people and I'm still getting the same issue. Has this happened to anyone before and is there a solution? I've filed a bug report and talked to a CSR but neither of those things have done much good. Any help would be apprieciated very much.

This is not a bug. It means that there is no Gas Resources on the planet...travel to another planet and try again.

Been to all planets and stood on top of a 91% concentration of gas, doesn't work.

I don't know then skele..I just did this quest friday on Ahazi and while dathomir had no gas...I saw the same thing you did...a blue survey screen...I went to lok and naboo and was able to finish the quest...i also had a blue survey screen on lok for one of the other resources which was why I then moved to naboo. i am trying to remember if after I got better than 50% on the survey tool if I took a sample or if I made one more survey and got the messae that part of the quest was complete. I do know that on one of the resources I got a 90% on the first survey and it registered it...Hope you get this cleared up.
