Hello!
It is late so I apologize for not searching and find a thread to post in. I know others have had problems with the trials and bugged quests.
My first trial I went to the shrine and it sent me to Talus, traveled to Talusto find therewas no NPC to talk to. No big deal, I went to another shrine, and reset the quest, started over. I figured if this is the worst that happens, it can't be so bad.
Then I fail a trial because mobs attacked my NPC and killed him :-/ That was ok too, I just went to another shrine and started over.
When I went to do the sob story quest, I go to the WP where the girls brothers body is suppose to be, guess what! There is nothing there, so once again I had to go to a shrine and reset the quest. But that was OK too.
Here is where I am having a problem. I just spent more then 3hrs looking for falumpaset's, when I killed the required 20 I got the system msg that my task was complete and to return to the person I spoke with. I go to the WP given to me, and there is no NPC for me to talk to. I sit and wait a bit hopeing that it is just a slow draw and he will spawn, nothing. I drive away and come back, nothing. I shuttle to another city and come back, nothing! I file a customer service ticket, the CSR tells me that I will have to start over that they can not make NPC's talk to me. Did the CSR even read my ticket? I did not ask him to make a NPC talk to me. I simply explained to them that I completed my trial and returned to the person I am suppose to talk to, only to find they are not there .If the NPC was there and refused to talk to me, that is still not any fault of my own. I completed the trial and for what ever reason it is bugged on their end. Why do I have to restart it?
Can someone please help me? I have worked very hard over the last few months to get to where I am right now, as have many others. I do not mind things being difficult to complete. I do mind however not being able to complete something because of faulty programming, or bugged quests. Something that "I" I have no control over. I have a problem with being told to start over instead of them actually helping when the problem is not on my end to begin with. Who is to stay I go and restart the quest and the same thing won't happen again.
Thanks in advance,
Akyla

I started the trials friday. So far I've had to restart 2 times.
The first bug was on my first mission - the NPC was under a house in a player city! The second bug was on my second mission - exact same occurance an NPC spawned UNDER a house on Talus. Sigh.
I thought if this happens at this frequency how will I ever finish?
I gave it another shot yesterday, got through 5 missions, when on Rori I was returning to the NPC to complete the mission when I attacked by NPC's around the city. The NPC disappeared and I haven't been able to complete the mission.
What a mess! These REALLY are the trials! Not exactly the kind I was expecting though...
I have opened a ticked just for spite...but I don't expect any help. I'm trying again tomorrow.

Whenever you're going to meet with an NPC, get off your vehicle when you're 300m away and WALK. This helped me with non-spawning NPC problems.

I'll keep that in mind.

during my padawan trials, I had to restart missions at least 15 times.....especially on rori (stay away from missions on rori by using rori shrines, will always most likely send you to another planet).
Anyway, it's been a known problem that when riding any vehicle spawns may not occur. I believe everytime my mission would not spawn, I was on my swoop. Later I decided to hold ctrl while riding (slows vehicle down to nearly walking speed) and spawns did show up although as long as a 30 seconds to a minute later. Later I started getting off my swoop and walk to my spawn point and it worked everytime after that. I made sure to walk on every mission that took me a long time to complete the mission (like killing 20 or 30 of whatever) just so I don't fail due to a npc not spawning or being attacked and the npc disappears.
I think the new patch will solve the spawns whild riding a speeder thing....I was on TC earlier and I noticed that I could ride my swoop as fast as possible and I was getting spawns in front of me now...so hopefully that will help the padawan trial spawns also.
Another thing about disapearing npc's when you get attacked is make sure that you keep your mission npc on screen...I noticed that when I got attacked within 100m - 200m of my npc, they would despawn when I would turn and kill whatever attacked me. once I kept the npc on the screen, they never depspawned while I was being attacked. Don't know if this actually had anything to do with them not despawning...but hell, it worked for me. I have no idea about the npc getting attacked though, I've never experienced that.
Also, just for reference, all my trials took place on rori, talus, corellia and naboo. I started on naboo and finished on corellia. I never went to tat or got sent to tat. I did have one mission on dath though.

Ok, just tried it for the 4th time, and my second missions had a non spawning NPC on tatooine. It must of had something to do with the stormtrooper search by the starport. This is insanly frustrating. What a buggy quest.

If you get an npc stuck under a house, try a ticket and ask for the csr to come ingame and move them slightly ... csr's CAN move npcs, I have seen it done before.

my NPC's despawnd every other quest wen I did mine. just re-set them every time. don’t bother with CSR its a waste of time. you waste more time with them and you could do the quest by then. even with my NPC's doing that I did mine in 2 days.

One of the things i did to minimize time do to buggy quests is to take, drop and re-take quests at the shrines until i got favored city. Stay away from ones that send you to plaxes where NPC's spawn in or too close to your city that may agro you. I had NPC's despawn several times do to an NPC agro while being close to my NPC contact. I simply just did this till I got missions in Theed or another city i felt didn't have agro NPC's close to it and never had a problem afterwards.
