Thread: A different question about Melee Acc Quest

I have tried and failed (several times) the melee accuracy quest. In my quest journal it says somthing about capturing the captain. Does that mean I HAVE to capture the captain to complete the mission when I try it again, or can i deactivate the shields and still complete it. Im confused because on some attempts I have selected the deactivate option, but my quest journal never changes. Im just trying to aviod completing the mission incorrectly and having to do it again. Thanks for any help.

In the quest you must first bring down the shields. After they are down 5 thugs must be killed or if with a partner the person who brings down the sheild dies. This will spawn the capt. Once this is done you or the partner who did not bring down the sheild most capture the capt. After this he most be guided back to the village. On the way back you will be attacked by pirates on occation.

When the Captain tells you about the two "options", they aren't really options. You are not really selecting what part you'll play, they're just to tell you what you have to do to complete the quest. I selected neither one, as I already knew what had to be done, I just cancelled the conversation. I went out in a group and completed the mission.
Basically, you have to bring down the shield AND capture the commander, escorting him back to the Village. Or, in a group, one person brings down the shields and the other person captures the commander and escorts him back to the Village. But the "parts" are interchangable, you do not select one.
