When the old man comes is he the same faction as you like when you do a rescue mission? I was in my city and saw a light purple dot for awhile and didn't bother to check what it was, assuming it was a speeder or something. Then it disappeared after being there for awhile and it isn't an obviously place to park, but I hate to think that was the old man. So yes or no?

He was white for me and I was overt rebel at the time.

the old man has no factional standing and as said in the last post, is a white dot (meaning nobody can attack him). the purple dot that magically disappeared was probably another person of your factional standing logging off, hence the disappearing act
