Thread: Mellichae: yes you can die (hero ring or doc rez)!

Hi,
This is my Mellichae story. Yesterday, near Waypoint player city, Rori, Chimaera.
Just for the heck of it, I firsttried to solo Mellichae as a master rifleman. Not a very good kiter, I had low expectations.
All well first, I concealshot the green crystals, then the red ones. During this some aggro from the Sith mercs and thugs, strafeshot2 on them without problems. Then I Concealshot the 2nd toughest NPC no problemo but upon aggro the bugger zapped my swoop.
So, Mellichae left to take care of, and I had no swoop, (forgot the extra in bank - meh). I did not want to risk my AV-21 so I used my vintage X-34 landspeeder as a getaway vehicle. A few trees made things worse, and the fact that Mellichae ran around all the time. Mel aggroed, I failed to mount and flee in time. That light sabre does hurt! Net result: one dead Starman. I had managed to hurt my adversary down to 2/3 of HAM.
Real life made me leave keyboard like 15 minutes, and I was waiting to see myself in nearest cloner, and Mellichae deswawned. But lo behold, Mellichae was still around, about 90m from my corpse. So, I resurrected myself with the Hero of Tatooine ring, asked a guildie to come help me since I now was unbuffed. I was sure I would get mission failure, but wanted to checkMel for loot.I waited for he like 30 minutes, too. She, also a master rifle, effortlessly concealshot Mel to death and to my amazement I was now qualified to padawan trials, even though I died once. But note: I never left the 200m circle surrounding camp. So, I did two of my padawan trials yesterdaybefore going to bed.
Btw no loot, just lousy credits.

If you got a doc with you you can also die without fail, if the doc revives you, we did this with a guildie a while ago.
Some noobs showed up and caused a scene, messed everything up, it was blood everywhere lol.
Our guldie with the quest died. But our doctor revived him and we could finish mel off.. i thought for sure it was over
when he died.

Yeah, I died when fighting Mellichae, with no doc. A quick search for a doctor, a tell and offer of 100k to rez me, and I completed the quest. And I lay dead for nearly 10mins. But someone who died after me couldnt be rezzed.
