Hi All
This is serious.
I'm waiting to the phase change in order to unlock and train my last fs branche, so I was looking in the Jedi Forum for some tips and general info about my new proffession and... Wao 
As I've readed there are a LOT of hate for the jedi in the comunity.
As I've readed there are a LOT of hate for the jedi in the comunity.We're called ebuyers, powergamers, exploiters, pre 9 publish jeditold us that we should't become jedis.... OMG!!!
More over, I've read in almost every combat proffession forum, there are a thread like "fencer vs jedi", "TKM vs jedi".... to get tips of how to kick our a***s
And the BH forum is like "Guide to the jedi fullextermination" 
I'm not crying nor whining, but wao... it's true that master Qi-gon said: "Training to become a jedi is not an easy challeng, and even if success it's a hard life" 
But I've no fear, bring them on!!!!!!

Just don't put yourself in a position ingame where people will want to hate you.
Simply... be invisible when not out in the wild. Bend in the wind like a straw and be flexible. Alot of people hate Jedi simply because they *are* Jedi and not what they do/have done on individual basis - however, the reputation of the few that exploit the system, harass other players and simply are @sses reflect on the people that do not do these things. The fact that Jedi are in present system more powerful than other classes generate hate in itself, as people no-longer can take Jedi on 1 on 1 unless they are skilled at their profession - things are made even worse that Jedi travel in packs nowadays, just looking for weaker targets so they can maintain the illusion of being the best.

Yep I think that's the best advice I ever heard.
I don't know why people hate us so much. I've spend about6 month grinding to become a jedi, i don't want to be a hero for anyone, butI don't like to beflamed only to become what i want in this game.
But the really annoying thing is that jedi comunity blames each others !!! I just can't believe it, after all We are all jedi!!

Its bad out there for sure, you have the have nots whineing and yelling nerf then you ahve the BH's that ...... well thats just ovious there why they whine. Its hard to find decent posts there really. Best bet is to find a jedi in game that you know or get to know and ask questions. 90 percent of them will have no trouble helping you. But the boards are bad, you put a post up and you might get a decent answer but more then naught you wont.
Also for you present grinders, I would recommend that you do as MUCH as possible before the CU. There changing alot and iam afraid that the grenade grind wont be as efficent as before, because of the max HP issue. But anyway good louck guys.

I agree 100% there...
The heards of Sentinal running around laying waste to every PvP enabled character they can find, those are the Jedi that people hate.
The Jedi that will take the Ancient Krayt that you've spent 30 minutes killing, those are the Jedi that people hate.
The Jedi that talk trash after every 1v1 win andforce run in fearat the 1st sign of aloss, those are the Jedi people hate.
The hate for those Jedi flows over to the other Jedi you see (after all, they're all Jedi, right? They're all the same...) If you want to avoid that hate, don't be seen. Never showyour powers in front a player or NPC, and you'll never apear on the terminals. If your not on the terminals, you can walk the streets withoutshowing your robes and saber... your just another face in the crowd. Atleast until you make Knight, then you're perma-overt and subject to attack by anyone at anytime.
Odds are though, if your reading this forum, you propably have a very long way to go before Knighthood is a problem that you need to worry about. I know it's a longway off for me...

Yep, there is a long way to me to become a knight so I'm not really worry aobut the perma overt status.
And I'm Agree that to remain invisible is the best way to avoid the flames on us.... Hey after all this is like the movies
People hates that they don't know and that they will never become ....

While I tend to agree with you and you have a very valid point.... To most people this is like buying a Prorche and locking it in the garage forever. Really no point to it. I'm not saying that its good to go around showing off but people will do it, especially when they first unlock. After a while though most jedi will get past the "WOOHOO! I'm a Jedi and your NOT" thing and all is well.

The problem with visibility is that you cant control it. Iam a firm believer in never wearing my robes or saber in public period. But I still get on the terms. I have my radar at 128 (best distance because of chance you get lag, larger you dont see them till tehr eon you) always have overhead map on and still get zapped. The random spawns and haveing mobs hideing in lairs is just crazy lol. One instance Iam on endor and i cirlce the lair and then ride in and hop off, start wailing on lair and all teh sudden I get blaster fire and I cant see anyone, lol it was one of the rangers on endor he was prone and his camo was so good i had to walk up on him to see him. Also with the increased combat teams of npc's out there its harder also. Was scanned by an imperial regement the other night on endor. Lucky I was high rank or they wouldhave dropped a goon squad on me for sure.
I guess what Iam saying is all you can do is your best to keep out of sight, visibility will happen even if your prefectly carefull, when it does just hope the BH is gracious enuff not to make you feel any worse then you dowith taunts or vulgarity, because its is out there and its really ruff. Find a friendly BH and and get them to scan for you on terms if you feel you are there, if you are setup a time and have a doc ready to rez you. Will save you grind time and you make you feel safer grinding.

the trick seems to be to distinguish yourself once you finish your template. I know of a few jedi who have a very good reputation for:
Rescuing players who get in over their head at the NS Stronghold/Krayt Graveyard
Healing wounds on players in CNET/MO who are waiting in line for buffs
Tanking thugs during the 3rd and 4th phases of the village
your actions in this game are all that other players have to judge you by. you can be like the many griefing and whining jedi out there or you can rise above the e-drama.

Somethign to add here.
Before you finish your template, distinguish yourself. This doesn't mean showing off your powers or anything, just get yourself in a good light within your galaxies community. The easier people recognise your name, the more familiar you become. If you are a stand up person, then this will show through to them and be remembered.
If you're a griefer, it gets remembered even faster, but for the wrong reasons.
I try to hide my profession, but i'm not scared to help someone in need, regardless of the risk to myself. If i die helping, then at least i tried. If they die cos i ran by and ignored them, then i get a bad name for being someone who doesn't care.
Either way i lose something, but to me, my reputation is 100 times worse than losing a little xp that i can regain simply enough.
Takes a whole lot more work to fix your reputation.
The Jedi forums are full of angst ridden players who mainly have a problem with everything in the game. Why they don't all just cancel, i don't know. But it can't be that bad as they're still here.
Don't let them bring you down to their levels, as it's pretty easily done in the Jedi forum.
If no one posts a decent reply, just move on to your next question and ignore those who answer with flames or insults.
There are a few of us who will try to help those who need it,both on the Jedi forum and here in this forum, and also in game.
Anyone who needs my help on Kettemoor, only has to ask. If i'm able to, i will help.
