Thread: Most efficient way to grind (non-Commando)

First of all - I have no desire to respec to M.Commando to 'nade grind. I want to get to Jedi and be able to say that I did it using professions I took because I enjoy them /antiFlameShot1


Secondly, here is my template:

M.Pistols

M.Carbines

0040 Medic

1020 Scout


I have 4144 Combat Prowess and no Enhanced Reflexes as yet, which means I have 11 boxes (or approximately 3.5million fs xp) left to grind.


I can only play for a few hours each evening after work, and longer (but not all day) on weekends. Typically I can cap one weap at 1.2mill per night (also giving me 120k combat xp ofc), which is approximately 80k of fs xp a day.


What I want to know is, can anyone think of a more xp-efficient way of grinding than this, without 'nading? because, quite frankly, after working it outto beanother month and a half's nightly grinding, i'm more than a little ready to give up

If you're willing to do senses, I've heard Scout is a great way to go from Ranger 0040 or better. Cap is 1.2 mil on scouting XP, gains come just as quickly as combat XP if you're hunting large game, and the conversion rate is far better.

I would say stay on Dantoine MO, and look for a hunting group or make one.

Take Bol lairs missions, or Pikets (slightlyharder as they aggro faster).

Take entertainment buff


...and enjoy those fewhours hunting in group. The XP comes really fast. Maybe not the fastest absolutelly way, but you can enjoy it.

I'm in the same boat. I need a fast way to grind about 3 mil FS xp. I'm thinking of going master doc, master combat medic with a little pistols thrown in for some combat xp.

If i could find the where i get the missions from for senses then i would do this as it seems the best way to grind now,especially if your using a combat prof as well,if you can tell me where to get senses missions from ill do this

Looks like you're in the same boat as me, all combat grinding is what you're looking for? I'm currently TKM, M. Swords, and Smuggler 0420. This allows me to cap 1.2 mill xp on UArmed, 2Hand, and Pistols. Yes, pistols at 1.2 mill even though I only have one tree that goes to the top. The best part of this is saving time from the ridiculous 30 minutetrip to the villiage. I max all of these out which will also max out Combat xp at 300k. Upon trading xp in, you get 40k times 3, plus 100k from the combat. That's 220k FS xpper trip. Now that makes the villiage trip worth wild. When I first started FS xp grinding, I was only doing UArmed, so I was getting 60k total FS xp per trip (30k for UArmed and 30k for Combat),so you can imagine how elated I am about this.

As for the grind, get into groups out of MOP. That's where most people are getting together. If you have mostly ranged people, Tortons on Rori work great. If you have a diverse group, then Pikets and Bols (preferably Pikets). Pikets really need a tank IMO. You can do them without, but you'll probably see some people making trips to the cloner unless you have a good Combat Medic.

But how long does it take to cap those skills, it takes me at least and hour and half to cap a comabt prof during double xp. Is ranger gonna cap any faster.

Whats the conversion rate for scout xp?


Any answer to where i find the heightened senses missions? .Need to know from someone that has been there recently

During double xp, I was capping Swords in 30 - 40 minutes. UArmed and Pistols in about 45 - 60 minutes. I make a huge difference when I'm using swords. How much xp you getcompletely depends on the group you're in. If you have a good puller, he's grabbing the next creature within a second after your group's last kill. If the puller piddles around, you're wasting precious time and xp. The group (puller)is everything. If you don't want to worry about this, then get the skills needed to be the puller and you'll control the pace.


I'm afraid I know nothing about ranger.

From the early lokos of things I'd say the way to grind fastest would be 0040 ranger with master BH. The scouting xp cap is over a million, plus as a BH you have a line for pistols xp, a line for Carbines xp, a line for Rifles xp, and combat xp. This would get you 5 lines to cap, 4 of which cap over 1 million each. This would save trips to the village and allow more hunting to be done

another good combo for the grind is 4444 ch and master ranger. if you cap both you end up with about 280k fs sense xp per trip to the village so a little less then 4 trips per tree. The only problem is you need a fairly good pet or a good group to hunt with. Scout converts at 8 to 1 and ch 9 to 1 so its good if you have a sense tree unlocked
