Thread: 2nd Character Slot Question

I do apologize if this has already been asked (most questions have) but I got tired of seeing "the search page is not available".

After you do the Padawan Trials and you unlock your 2nd slot, I am told that this second character can become a Jedi, just as the first character can.

I understand this character has to do the Padawan trials (I think) but does that character also have to do quests to unlock force branches?

Do they need to have FS Skills before they can complete the path to Jedi?

If they don't need to grind the 6 branches a regular character would, do they have any force sensitive skills at all?

Are they your choice to pick 6 branches? Does the character start with the same ones from your main character?

Basically I'm looking for a more indepth look at what the 2nd character slot starts out with for Skills, FS and Regular, and what he needs to do to become a jedi.

Any information or links to information would be great appreciated.

I also apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum and if it is I will be happy to move the post to the correct one.

Thank you

your second character is a total new character like any other, and you have to do everything you did with your first one.

and you do not get a 3rd character when unlocking your 2nd jedi. 2 chars on each server is MAX

the second char is just like you were when you first loaded the game. you will have to do everything again glowy, village quests, exit quests, trials...just as your first toon to unlock. You will not get another slot if you complete the padawan trials on your second account though. hope this helps...

Ouch that really sucks, I guess my main character will be my Jedi and maybe I'll remake my current template on a second character but I couldn't imagine trying to go through the whole hassle of doing all the quests etc again. That would drive me mad I think hehe.

I'd more likely make a crafter or something on the unlocked slot so that I could do something other than grind combat on the Jedi.

Thanks everyone for the responses, mostly I was trying to decide what I would do with the second character.

On another note if I'm currently a Rebel, can I become a Dark Jedi or would I have to switch factions before I unlocked in order to do that?

different question, but along the same topic... if i were to (finally) finish off all my village stuff, do the trials, and unlock a 2nd character slot, this character is a fresh noob, plain and simple. but if i were to at some point in time decide i wanted to re-roll this character (delete the 2nd toon, and recreate it for a fresh start), would this in any way affect my jedi? i've heard pre-publish 9 will loose the jedi for deleting the alt, but havn't seen anything definitive on post-publish 9....

You can reroll it as many times as you want. Pre-publish 9, the jedi was the second character, the primary was not jedi. Once those accounts went post-publish 9, deleting the secondary account would result in losing the jedi.
