Thread: Force Sensitive NPC's
Hey do these guys drop holocrons? I know that the Rebel Surface Marshall does and the Dark Trooper drops them as well. And does anyone have a list of who actually drops the holocrons?

Without a creature, they will 1 shot you and you're dead.

To solo a FS NPC you need at least a Greater Sludge Panter or a Grand Wrix. That or be a smuggler with feign death.
When I did swordsman, I'd send in my pet, use a mind bleed, then hit them with Mind Hit 1 until they died.
Good luck!
So I basically don't have a chance w/out a pet. (besides my rock beetle) That sucks.
Bingo.
Didn't you know? You are SUPPOSED to be a CH in this game. It is just so Star Warsy. That is why they are taking even your rock beetle away from you. If you want to be able to farm holos, krayts, you name it, you need to have CH colmbined with one of the other dabbler professions that allow rapid killing, namely BH with LLC and Commando with Flame. Being an imp and having multiple AT-STs also helps, but the whining MCHs are making sure those get taken away too.
One of the reasons the MCH whined so badly about dabblers is that they wanted to be sure they kept their corner on the abiltiy to solo heavy MOBs. They also did not like you and me having even our little pets, so they whined and whined until Sony listened and took those away, too.
So, if you did not choose to be a CH, you will have to get in a group that has one and hope they play fair. You can bet you will not be the designated looter.
I, foolish person that I am, trying to play a character that made some small modicum of sense in a Starwars setting , am a Rebel Wookiee Riflewoman/Ranger. You can imagine how easy it is for me to kill these MOBs. Now, don't get me wrong, I can kill them, if I find one by itself, no one else around to steal it, no other MOBs in the area so I can run like hell after I put a bleed on it. After 5-10 minutes, I am either db'd or have made a kill. If I use my beetle (mountain krevol) it is a bit easier, but then the poor thing gets beat up pretty badly and often gets incapped in the process.
An interesting change to the code would be to erase all chance of a holo dropping if any kind of pet is used to kill the MOB at all.
An even more interesting change would be to allow someone who is not a high level combat character a chance at getting a holo.
In the meantime, just look at who gets them. Grauls, Graul Maulers, Rancors, Mereks, AT-STs. Those are the players that can kill the MOBs. Too bad none of those are really players, eh?
If you are a 0/2/1/1 Swordsman, why would you expect to take on one of the tougher mobs in the game? The will /con red to you so they should be difficult.
And you may be able to take on one with a rock beetle. Depends on how much damage he can take and how lucky you are. The GSP and Graul Mauler (which I use) allow us to take on several in a row before they need to be healed. With the rock beetle and pet stim packs you may be able to do it. And if not, get better and try again.
More important, remember you do not need a Holocron to open the FSCS.
