Yeah, other stuff doesn't convert to jedi respec points, not even at an X:1 ratio like basic to elite does. But you can respec jedi to jedi skills, or jedi to regular.

What if I have ranged acc1 and I want to respec my character to a melee template? I don't understand why I can't switch this to the defensive FS skills branch. Although now that I am thinking about it, this might be good if I go ahead and do the template I want, which is Mpike/TKM/Doc 4/0/0/0. So if I get rooted I can use a combat lvl 54 pistol that doesn't require a master elite profession. Sorry, just thinking outloud. What does anyone think of this? Combat prowess 4/4/0/0 in case of root.

The FS skills are really useless, don't bother thinking about them when making a template because you will be dropping your other professions when you get jedi.

Then since Jedi is a melee profession should I then take the melee oriented FS skills instead of the Ranged based one?

Do the FS skills bonuses stack with the Jedi bonuses?

The ranged skills from FS (if becoming Jedi) will be fixed eventually to apply to the Force Powers that are the Jedi ranged attack.

Yes..all GENERAL melee stuff stacks with Jedi specific stuff.

And NO you cannot respec FS skills. Just like you cannot respec pilot and politician
