Thread: Sith wp pad still bugged. no word from CSR :(

had a ticket open for over a week now. Im JEdi but my friend im helping is Glowie the old main comes nearly daily for her. She gets jumped by sith and everytime she cannot read the wp pad. Tried nearly everything we read on these boards and nothing is working.


Is this bugged or what?

Did you try destroying the crystal and trying again? Also, it won't work unless you kill both Sith yourself (I think) as I got some help then couldn't read it.

Try destroying the crystal if you haven't already (he'll come with another).

tried it i just healed her out and in group she killed them and still same result. old man will come again today or tomarrow i guess. sickens me how the CSRs take a week to answer a ticket. I hav eone thats nearly 3 weeks old they never answered.

I was having the same problem with my alt where after I looted the datapad and tried to read it I got the message, "You must first loot the item before using it" or something like that. It turns out you have to kill both sith before looting the datapad.

no we kill both then wait a good while, no journal update. she finally loots them both gets the wp pad then is says you cannot read this information

hmm ok..


destroy current crystaland any data pads that you might have in your inventory.


group with friend..


make sure your friend gets a hit on both sith


help kill the sith... loot data pad after both are dead.. friend loots, you dont touch.


if this doesnt help, submit another ticket.

I got the same problem! So it might be the crystal bugged?


I guess ill just try lvling up to 80 then doing it solo..

This is really bugged. I was attacked by 4 waves of 2 Sith in half an hour. After the first two I had two waypoint disks that didn't work. Then I read this forum and deleted them along with my force crystal. Two minutes later my computer crashed and when I logged back in after rebooting I got attacked by another wave even though I didn't have the crystal anymore. I killed them and got another waypoint which didn't work. Went to search the forums again and got attacked by the 4th wave. Shortly after killing them I got a message saying to kill the Sith and search their bodies for any clues or something like that, can't remember the exact wording. This was before I even had a chance to loot the last corpse which had the waypoint, and it worked! I killed every wave before searching the corpses, so I can only assume that you NEED to get this message before you loot the corpses. Not sure how long you might have to wait but hope this helps.


For some reason I was still able to do this without the force crystal that the Old Man gave me and now I am sitting in the Villiage of Aurilia. I just hope I don't need that crystal for anything else, cause if I do I'm probably screwed. From reading the guide the only other use that I can find for it is that its another way to get to your journal. Can anyone confirm this please?

I'm having the same problem. Additionally, I just tried to open a ticket and it won't let me do so. heh.
