Hey, im going for Jedi and doing grinding and quests for the Village etc. and my brother is a hologrind Jedi Kaumyd ( Kettemoore-Server ) and When I was Master Carbineer with about 1/4/2/2 in Bounty Hunter or so and had The wounds you get when you get deathblowed once, and I got him down to about 1/4 health in about 10 seconds, but he healed and beat me, but still, after wooping him that quickly with my skills, I don't think its worth it because, you get initiate which takes about a month then padawan which takes like 3 months or so then Knight which takes forever, and even then I have heard of Bounty Hunters that have taken down knights so quickly it's not funny. I don't think its worth it unless your guardian or at least a good knight. Because Bounty Hunters can take down pretty much every rank of Jedi except for maybe Master, some Guardians and maybe some Master Defenders. So is it really worth all of the work???

(P.S) This Message doesn't have anything Offensive to Jedi I don't think and if it does I am terribly sorry, I am just wondering if I should do it, even so I know some really awesome Jedi!...

I'd say it depends on your motivation. If you're looking to play some uber character, then no it's probably not. From what I gather, most of your Jedi life (at least until they reintroduce FRS) will be spent being maybe a bit more powerful than most standard templates, and there are evensome standard templates that are more overpowered than most Jedi templates. I bet there are a lot of full template Jedis that fear the visit from a MBH/MCM.
One of the biggest issues with any MMORPG is balance between professions. In the case of Jedi and the SWG universe, this is an especially difficult issue. Obviously Jedi should be more powerful if you follow the SW universe (gasp), but since everyone has the option of being a Jedi, and the path to Jedi is not really difficult, the game could get incredibly out of balance if Jedi are too powerful. So they either have to restrict how many Jedi there are (either physically or artificially), or they have to nerf Jedi so that they're not quite as overpowering to the standard professions. I doubt that SOE would do the former now that the Jedi floodgates have opened (Jedi is, after all, one of the most attractive if not the most attractive selling point for SWG), so I expect them to continue down the path of trying to balance a more powerful profession with a less powerful profession.
If, on the other hand, you're more interested in the RP aspect of being a Jedi, or because you just want to experience a different part of the game, then I'd say no matter how long or difficult the path is, it is totally worth it. This is whyI personally pursue the Jedi path. And I think people who actually want to play Jedi rather than just be "uber" will do better with the profession because they will choose a template that they enjoy and they will learn it rather than trying to just go for the "I win" template.

Nicely said. Jedi now is more about challenge (or at least will be if the FRS ever comes back hehe) and RPing than just being "uber". So i guess its more of a question you should ask yourself. Is it worth it to you? To spend a lot of time grinding a character that can get beat by a "normal" elite combat template. If you're just simply looking to be tough as nails i would suggest TKM/Doc, the grind is a lot shorter and its hella-fun ![]()
