You shouldve been here 2 years ago. There was a GCW and it was pretty cool. Rebs try to take down Imp bases and vica-versa. Imps gathering on Bestine to raid Anchorhead. Yep those were the good old days. This time two years ago Jedi in the game was just a myth. It wasnt until about October of '03 before the very first Jedi was on any server.

Kinda funny I was gonna tell this dude to take his whine to the BHer forum where he oviously belongs with his jedi hate and then I look at his sig and see his template.. go figure.. then I was trying to figure out why a guy who has been registered here for a few hours is giving lectures on how the game should be played and then I remembered the template from the sig...

You know not everyone likes pvp . They need to do something like this for pve .

The problem is there is nothing in this game to do but grind and get fs .

IN everquest 2 there were diffrent areas to explore and each one felt diffrent while in swg it all feels the same .One has more hills another has more trees . That is it . In eq2 and other games there are areas to go to , diffrent quests other than go here fetch this or kll this .

Now some can say this game is older . But its only 2 years old !!! they just need some talent to increase the quality lvl of the theme parks we have and future theme parks . They also need bigger rewards and risks for overt players . They need to make it worth while for overt players to exist

LOL, you can never trust those account creation dates. This is my second account so it is newer then my main account.

As for the PVP. The good old days rocked but it was hard to protect your bases. With the base verabilities time shift , you could not get the people to be around at 2 am US time. I know my guild lost lots of bases to this. We just could not get the man power to protect the bases at off time. The few japanese guys we had couild not repel a reb attack at these hours. We would have the same problems now but we would lose cities. Although I am noticing more cities going to the rebs anyways. I have been in all the story lines and we lost them all. Unknown if the rebs were more deticated ( the devs did allow for the larger number of rebs but. what are you going to do ). I guess because the movies put the Empire in a bad light and the rebels in a good light, more people want to be rebs, gee imagine that. Thus the problem with PVP now days. Lots more rebs then Imps. You can put lots of PVE to help the imps but then it is not really PVP , is it ? I miss the old PVP days.

I also like to be a Jedi. Vader has been a hero of mine but I see how Lucas saw that too many people admired Vader ( I though of him as a great man serving a bad politition [ think of Rommal and Hitler] military people are use to that [damn civilians pick dumb leaders then blame the military for wars, or more stupid, pick the commander in chief to be a military hating person, cough... Clinton the Canadian resident, cut the military and intel buget). sorry , lost myself.

I seems that Lucas needed to remind us that Vader was an EVIL guy ( the road to hell is paved with good intentions) the EP3 showed that he was not a man to be admired but hated. I have lost another hero. But my dreams have always been to be a jedi , being a person with a life ( not much but the wife and job are what take my time) could not grind so my profections and my guild needed a doc so after about 8 professions I stopped at Mdoc/TKM and then to MDoc / MMerchent to sell meds and find resources.

Now my alt has taken up the batan and is actully working on jedi again. Still takes lots of time that i do not have . We shall see. X2 exp week helped my grind and I wife was nice enought to understand I needed the weekend to play my computer game. LOL.

But not a smart move to do often and stay in a happy home.

After the CU, the jedi population increased almost 20 fold! Honestly, at this time period, how many Lightsaber-weilding people were there? 2? 3 maybe? I know there weren't 1000's! Instead of people trying grind away at becoming a jedi (which is kind of out-of-content) shouldn't players be focused more on what is REALLY happening in the Galaxy? What is this you ask?

Why, it's the Galactic Civil War, of course!

This game should be more focused around PvP between the 2 factions, not around getting to CL 80, then becoming FS, then grinding to become a jedi... (or in a crafter's case, make good weapons and armor and such... But that is okay)

Combat oriented players should be centered around PvP and getting DECENT rewards (other than armor) for doing well in PVP. I mean, there are EXCELLENT Veteran Rewards, rewards the "Veteran" player. Shouldn't there be rewards for the "Skilled" player?

Even if you are a crafter, there should still be PvP rewards for a crafter, either in space, or making items that help in PvP.

Also, a great way to increase PvP would be to bring back the battlefields. But only make them temporary battlefields. Make them an instance type thing that is "Spawned" when a faction attempts to take over an NPCcity (ex: Coronet) A faction can declare "War" on this city if they have, let's say, 50 people that "sign-up" to take over a city. Then, as soon as 50 members of a faction sign this "Form", an instanced battlefield is created and both factions can go fight there for control of the city.

On the ground, each team would have a "Headquarters" which acts as their main base. From here, players can form groups, heal wounds, get better weaponry, and so on... Aside from a "Headquarters", there would be a couple of "Outposts" where NPC troopers would spawn so incase a faction is severely outnumbered, they have some re-inforements. Crafters could also participate in these battlefields by constructing walls, manning turrets, placing mines and booby-traps, and repairing structures (such as an outpost that can be damaged by enemy soldiers).

Also there could be a space battle for each battlefield for those of us that prefer space combat. The space zone would also be instanced and would be entered via a Starport in the designated city. In this space zone, there would be NPC "Flagships" which would act as a space station for the many fighters. Also, these ships could have weaponry that is able to be controlled by players that don't have a very powerful ship. The flagships could also have terminals where players can go to find a "Flight-Group" with a codename and such and would be able to fly in different formations depending on the groupleader's pilot level.

Once a faction wins a battle on the battlefields (either space or land) that faction would receive a HUGE Morale bonus and additional troops/fighters (depending on which battle is won). So, for example, lets say the Rebel faction has initiated a war on Coronet, they would need 50(or so) players to "Sign-up" for this battle. Then once the rebels have initiated a war, the Imperials would need to have 50 (or so) players sign-up as well before the battle could commence. Now that the battle ahs started, the 2 factions fight it out on land and in space. Now, the Imperials have just destroyed all the Rebel Flagships and have won the space battle. ALL the Imperial soldiers on the ground gain a HUGE Morale boost, either increasing health, accuracy, damage or some other attribute (with a screen that pops up once the space battle is won that lets each individual player to decide what boost they will receive. This way each proffesion will receive a boost that actually effects them.) Now, the Imperials have a decent advantage in this battle.

If the Imperials go on to win this battle, they conquer the city and many of their NPC troops are placed in that city as an occupation force. This city will become a safe haven for Imperials (which means that a Rebel SF player cannot INITIATE the combat with a single player) but Imperial Jedi's can still be hunted by Bounty Hunter's in this city. Also, each city will have some type of reward for capturing it, like in all battlefields, the soldiers have increased health or increased melee defense or something...

BUT, if the Rebels win the ground battle, then the war is a stalemate and NO-ONE controls the city. The city is occupied by Rebel forces on the ground, and the NPC fighter that you will see while flying through the Corellia system will be Imperial fighters (since the Imperials won the space battle). The only buff that the factions would get, is in the NEXT battle in THIS city. The Rebels would get a bonus to their ground forces, and the Imperials would get a buff to their starships.

Based on how well you preform in this battle, you will be able to purchase different types of items, be resources, weapons, armor, starship components, and so on... If you choose not to purchase anything from this battle, you can save your "Points" to be counted in future purchases. If a Faction is victorious in a battle, they will receive an instant reward of some amount of points. Points will be rewarded to players that do something helpful in battle, be it healing, killing, or repairing a wall (if you are a crafter).

The current PvP situation is alright, but the only PvP most players take part in is hunting Jedi's... Everyone respeced to a Master Bounty Hunter just to hunt Jedi because that is fun PvP. Why not make more PvP that is even MORE fun and not centered around 2 proffesions? Make it centered around ALL the proffesions. I am a MBH/M carbine/0404 pistoleer, i know this is kind of ironic that i am bagging on BH's, even though I am one... BUT that is why i make this point!!!

Ihave always been aBH to participate in PvP and because I think Boba and Jango are really cool . Now, almost every played is either a BH or a jedi... I just think that is wrong and does not follow this storyline AT ALL!

Well, thanks for reading this and I hope some people (preferably the Devs) agree with what i think and try to get this into the game. My idea is just an idea, and many factors of this can, and should be changed. This is just to help the game have more PvP (which i think you can tell i really enjoy).

This will not change until people stop buying the game on the premise of becoming a jedi. Whats one of the first questions a newb asks? "how do i become jedi???!!!"
