To All the Melee People Like Myself:
I have seen post of people saying to wait and do the quest after all of the rifleman / range profesionalsare done and gone. BIG MISTAKE!!! The SITH THUGS are the same as the Phase 3 Thugs and they will attack you. BEST TO DO THIS WITH EVERYONE THERE.
Geta regular pistol that everyone is certified for and "tab attack, tab attack."
I went in using my Scythe Blade at first, butwhen ever I finally found a Sith through the smoke and chaos theSith was dead already. SoI grabbed a looted pistol out of my inventory, got on a hill top, and just "tab attacked" until I got my 50 outlaws and 25 pirates.
God Bless
PS - I would like to thank a number of Jedi
that returned to help with the Sith Thugs. You are what we aspire to be
Jedi.
11/11/04 = I am seeing complaint posts that the phase is too hard. I tried

Actually i am a tkm and did it Friday night in under an hr. I first used a little rifle (i was only marskman 3/0/0/4) but then just went to the middle on the outside where they spawned and just did spin attack. Got my 1 hit then moved on to the next. It isn't hard at all

You just have to get a hit on the sith before it dies to get the credit for it. If you do finish up and are uber combat type, try to stick around a little and keep the thugs off of those not quite as proficient. Got my last 2 pirates in my third assault, then hit nothing but thugs after that. Helped alot of folks out.

You cannot underestimate the value of Lunge. Target a pirate or outlaw, lunge, peace repeat. It keeps you out of a lot of problems. I got killed because my brandy ran out just as a thug pulled a T-21 on my mind. I had only one pirate left and the doc healing me died too. I cloned, went to Science outpost, logged out, came back unbuffed, drove into the village on what I was sure was a suicide mission. Picked a pirate 20m from me, tagged him and hid behind a building while everyone else killed him......phase 4 complete.
Long story short, keeping tabbing on the battlefield. Avoid fighting if you can, and as soon as you come across a pirate or outlaw, run to about 20m from him and spam lunge. I have lunge2 so I get the wonderful, "You have failed to cahnge your target's posture" and I knew I scored the hit. This keeps your mind fresh to move on...Phase 4 would have only taken 2 waves to complete.

Well genius....
The problem with your strategy is that the Outlaws, Thugs, and Pirates actually have to DIE for you to get credit. Sure, other people are there with you, and rifleman will pound on them, but you should really try and help by tanking for a little bit so the mobs actually die.

This can not get any simpler. When i was there there were over 25 people there since most of them had unlocked it already they focused on the thugs while we hit the outlaws and pirates. So i think this was easy and only took me the first and like 2 minutes of the begining of the second wave. The outlaws and pirates are easy to kill with mind hits so this actually was easier then the first phase (or at least i think so)
six more weeks for jedi!!! w00t!!!

So you only have to hit one once to get credit for it?
Cause I hardly get any message saying I helped killing them except for like 2 or 3 out of 20.

What happens if you die, do you have to start all over.
and do you have to kill 50 sith and 25 pirates all at one shot

if you die you do not need to start over. the count is held for you until you finish the quest. unfortunately unless you are writing down what your kill count is, or you have photographic memory, don't rely on your force crystal to tell you. I thought this one would be relatively easy for the devs to figure out, "duh, put kill count on your crystal." but nope, i guess i over-estimated them again. anyway, you will only know your kill count after either an outlaw or pirate you have ATTACKED, dies. and for your last question NO you dont have to KILL, literally. You just need to make sure that the yellow dot sith outlaw or pirate goes red, which means you only need to tap him (or attack him once). if you would like to further attack him that would be ok, but please remember to be considerate, b/c the outlaws and pirates are easy kills, and therefore everyone around you is also trying to tap him as well. so one hit will suffice and then just peace out.. he will die soon enuf. as soon as he dies, there will be a message that pops up telling you how many more pirates or outlaws you need to kill, if there is no message telling you how many left, well congrats b/c you have met the required kills. once you have finished with the 50/25, then go back to the capt to complete the quest and unlock your branch.

make sure you are targeting ONLY SITH OUTLAWS AND SITH PIRATES....you do not get any credit for attacking SITH THUGS. as well one way to make sure that you have indeed gotten credit for attacking is to tab to either the SITH OUTLAWS or SITH PIRATES, and if they are red to you, then yes, you have gotten credit for a hit already, and now just wait until he is dead. if they are yellow then go and tap them quickly. once again, very important do not attack SITH THUGS, you don't get credit for them.

I'm heading there tonight after work. Hope there's still enough people there on Eclipse then to keep it from being overwhelming.

I would highly recommend taking a group or going early. It's going to be very tough later in the phase with fewer people there. The thugs are a beast especially with 2, 3, or even 4 on you at a time!
All in all very enjoyable. I envision the GCW should look like the village did with all the sith spawning and everyone running around fighting.
