Thread: Exit quest question

I have the 6 lines complete, what i dont have is the old man, anyone got an idea on how to spawn him or how long this should be taking to give me an idea if bugged or not bugged.

How long does it take for the old many to visit you for the start of the exit quest? Anyone know?

Seems about the same as it takes to get to the village initially.

He visited me 8 hours after I completed my 6th tree. And I was logged off for 2/3 of those hours.

Anyone have a clue how long i have to wait for the old man to visit me to give me my exit quest?

The time varies wildly...
Some people have been visited literally 10 minutes after they trained their last needed box, while others have waited for up to 4 days...
Personally, I've been waiting somewhere in the area of 13 hours for him to show up, but I've tried to go through my normal routine (just being more cautious of what's being said in Spatial
) I have a feeling that for a majority of players he won't actually show up until:
A) Server restart
or
B) Double XP days are over and we can't blast through grinding our new second character to double-elite status.
If you read one of the stickies, it has all the information and suggestions for what to/not to do (stay out of cities with Starports - Coronet and the like, but visit player cities and shuttle around, etc.)
Think of the wait as your first trial... patience IS a virtue, a watched pot never boils, etc.
He'll come to you when he's good and ready.

Is it ok if I get visited by the old man and receive Mel's wp, but do the quest in about a week? I dont want to show up there and theres no spawn or such.

dont know about that, i waited about 8 hrs and it still spawned though

I've been told that waiting a day is fine. I got mine last nite and will try the mission at 5 PM today. Want to gather up a lot of the friends who have helped me over the last year for some Mell-bashing. Most folks go at least a day so they can get together a good group to help out. Don't know about a week, though. A week could introduce another hotfix that messes something up.

I got the mission about 4 hours ago, went to the spawn and it wasnt there, went off world 3 times before it finally spawned, finished 2 hours ago, so all in all about 2 hours of waiting, and the quest is pretty easy, Crystal bug seems to be fixed, they died just fine
