Thread: mellichae ..HELP

Finally go the second visit from the old man and received the waypoint for Mellichae. Was able to bring the crystals down but im not able to bring Mellichae down ...I barely leave a scratch on his health before he takes me out. (is the mission bugged or is it that difficult). Can someone give me some advice on tactics (im currently a master Carb/BH at level 80).

He's generally not soloable. I remember back pre-Cu trying him solo with a great template but he tore me up. Bring a friend(if rifleman) or a couple.

I was wondering what it would take as well. I am about to finish my grind when Phase 3 comes around and have 2 friends that play. We have killed some big things and wondered if we could do it with us 3. I am Master Rifleman/Master Combat Medic (With the new heals its a lot easier to fight big things). The other two are Master TK/Master Swordsman and MAster TK/Master Pikeman. We have killed an Ancient Krayt (By tanking him and not kiting) and I was able to keep him up with my heals. The two TK's also have doctor 4000. You think we could kill Mel with that group?

I soloed him Post-CU. Was Master Rifleman/Pistolteer with Crippling Shot from Carbineer. Adv Stopping Shot, head shots, Improved Crippling shot, etc, never hit me once. I'd recommend getting a few friends with root moves to hold him in place.
