Force Sensitive Archive

Hi all. After getting my crystal from the old man, I was jumped by four sith shadows at the shuttleport and incapped. The sith were killed with the help of some friends, but I lost the crystal. The old man reappeard right afterwards and gave me a second crystal, but the Sith have yet to return.

When I use the crystal to open my quest journal, and click on show finished quests, both the old man visit and sith ambush are checked, and there are no new missions.

My question is will the sith come again with sith ambush checked, or does this need to be open in order for them to spawn?

Also, if they will not reappear, can I delete the force crystal and wait for the old man again to start all over?
