This is the first to a bunch of entertaining posts I hope to give to you younglings. 
Not a test by any means, but a self-enlightenment quiz perhaps... Anyway, starting very basic with your very own FS grind!
For sake of discussion, lets say the only FS branches you are taking are Reflex and Combat, both only gained from combat and weapons xp.
Your grinding out xp by capping your 3 weapons and combat converts. (not using nades) So your grouping for xp. Let's say you have some medic or combat medic in your templete. In your group hunt, you notice some of the other pistoleers and ranged profs are taking a good chunk of damage often.
do you use your medic skills to help the group stay alive, thus only getting half of the weapons xp every time you heal? Or do you let them die, and suffer without them till they can catch back up with the group, and keep your full xp amounts?

are the pistoleers my friends?
hehehe glad I never took up a medical profession. In such a case however . . . using the only skill I can to help them . .I'd /taunt and take the beating . . . hopefull a doc will come around to rez me.

Well I'm doing the FS grind on my alt (I have no idea why, I hardly play my jedi as it is) And found myself constantly healing people, tho half of them left to cash in 3 weapons xp I hadn't even capped one yet. Made me wonder if they would have done the same.

Med XP has a conversion rate of 10:1 instead of 30:1 (or 15:1 if you calculate the combat xp into it), so shouldnt it be faster to be FS with med xp?
(strange healing system aside)

yes, if you have any sences branch. Although if your going for the max advantage templete (melee acc, melee def, ranged def, veh control, survival, melee speed) you don't need any sences xp so healing doesn't do much of anything for ya, besides a good conscience.

Then you are a nice guy for healing 
You could try to push back the healing until after the fight, if everyone can survive that long

I finish of the mob, then heal.. Getting the full xp, and being kindly enough to let the incapps kill the next mob faster for me...

Have already taken the currently-useless healing tree post-cu so that I can trade in the medic xp I get cos I can't just stand there& watch people die, am also trying to do the persuasion tree now even though I dont want it again so I can trade in medic xp.
