Thread: Survival : Phase1 and stubborn villagers that stop following

A lot of folks are 'losing' their imprisoned villagers, who are refusing to follow their saviors.

These villagers now have (they didn't yesterday) a 3rd radial option 'Follow Me'.

Any sort of a Zaxis shift seems to throw them off and 'lose' you. No more than a body-length or so up or down. Also, no sharp corners, if they lose sight of you around a bend, or cresting a hill, they lose you.

With patience, you can coax them into a switchback climb. Keep the angle shallow, about 4m running for every meter of rise. Outcroppings can block you too.

All I have left to say on this subject... I'm so glad I got my 5th rescued.

I hope this hint/workaround helps. Then again, maybe we wouldn't need to share so many if they weren't all needed... or <gasp> if there was a complete, accurate, up-to-date Manual

I have a question....What tactic are you using to kill the Sith or pull them away from the villager? I have tried several times solo and with a group and no luck.

My first rescued villager, I took bloody ages to try and lead him straight back to the village, going up and down the inclines like you say . . . the others I just took through various passes. Every single route I had to go back to the village, I could take a small detour along a valley and walk the villager back without losing him once.

A whole lot easier than trying to coax them up hills.

But sometimes the system spawns them in a valley, and you have to get them up a hill.

I buff up, powerboost, pull with a carbine when one wanders/patrols away from the rest, back to BlasterFist and my beloved Improved CoB... rinse and repeat until they're all ded. Bring villager back. Repeat 4 times. If CL80 and smart, you don't need a group. The Pirates are green cons and the thug blue. Never saw more than 1 thug.

To the 'group' that keeps wiping... Learn to group. You are NOT a set of solo artists combining. This single problem made Phase 4 about 3 times as hard as it had to be. Learn to ALL damage the same Mob. Trust me, they go down tons faster, and once down, they can't hurtt anyone anymore. Let someone be Tank. This one person instigates the fight, and everyone assists that person. Let them get a taunt off, you'd be surprised how much it helps. NO wild shooting at whatever folks feel like shooting at. One warning to be a team player, and then boot em if they can't learn.

I could go 80m in front of them and wait til they got to me. Then go 80m again. This worked good for me.
