Thread: skill branch and and exp question

Ok, two simple noob FS questions. Firstly, in the Jedi Path Revamp Guide it says that to unlockJedi you need six branches attier 4. Is this true? Becauseyou can only unlock onebranch per phase. So if I need six, does that mean that I would need todo the village 1 1/2 times? That seems like a total waste of time.

Speaking of a total waste of time, I was doing the calculations and eachbranch needs 1.225 million FS exp points. And if you use the two branches I need, that would be at a ratio of 30 regular experience to 1 FS experience. That means that to get to Tier 4 on the branch (which is what you need to unlock Jedi) I would have to make 36,750,000 regular experience. That being pistol/rifle/carbine experience. At about 3-4k per kill, I would need to kill 10,000 creatures per branch!

Please, please tell me that I have miscalculated somewhere! At this rate, I would never make it anywhere! I do understand that it would be nice to limit the amount of Jedi out there, but this is ridiculous! I am sure that I have pulled some dumb noob mistake in this post, but from what I have been reading and from the exp conversions I have already done, this would be correct.

Please someone who knows what they are talking about explain the village, needed branches for Jedi, and correct exp conversions a little better than what I have understood. Thank you!

Your calculations sound about right to me, except that you forgot to factor in the combat xp, which means that you'll level up twice as fast as you calculated. Not that that's much better.

And you are also correct that you must do the village 1.5 times.

in the right hunting group you will get 6k xp per kill and you will do better if you can get xp on at least two weapons. then there is combat xp at 3:1. its not as long as your thinking

if u put it like that it does sound a lot, but in my experiences it does get to be tiring but some times u can really get into the game and the time goes by fast. I filled in 3 branches during dbl xp then the day after i use the grenade tactics and filled in a complete 4th branch with out the dbl. AIf u use grenades and ap out at 300k for combat xp its super easy it wud take u around 10-12 hrs per branch then so if u play non stop youd be fine.

Ok, I forgot about the combat experience. Grenades? Hadn't thought about that one. One more quick question, do you haveto finish the branch in the three weeks or just unlock it and finish the branch on your own time? I haven't seen anything about this.

yup what they all said.

As for the timeframe you are correct. You need 6 quests. One per phase, each phase lasts 3 weeks. so 6 quests at 3 weeks each equals

18 weeks minimum to get jedi.

You have more than enough time to bank xp.

I also wouldn't reccomend starting it unless you are CL80, or at least 70.. some of the quests can be rather difficult.

Yeah, I'm lv 80 no worries there. However, how much FS exp can you bank up? It would be nice to bank up as much as possible so that I don't have to get rid of some usefull skills I would use to unlock the branches with. That third stage for melee accuracy could be quite tough I'm told. Anyhoo, thanks for the tips all!

I don't believe that anyone has found an FS xp cap. Also, grenade Combat xp has been nerfed. You're gonna be better off just maxing out weapon xp...

And, because I'm in no hurry, I currently have 3 unlocked but as of yet completed FS branches. You only really need to worry about completing missions if you become FS late in a phase, especially the missions that only allow you to complete so many portions in a day.

no grenades are still the fastest way. Grenade COMBAT XP HASNT been nerfed.they are not the group-smartest way, but they are the most effective. you throw a nad at the initial spawn, and you will definitely get incap (unless you have feign death). then heal up and let the rest of group attack and you dont attack anything with normal weapons and you get SO much xp... its still faster than weapons xp.

Supposedly, but I have no actual experience in this.
