Force Sensitive Archive

Before the CU as long as the person with the Mel mission got a hit on Mel and he eventually died,they got credit,even if they didn't do a whole lot of damage. Is this still how it is? I am a rifleman and can take the crystals just fine,but mel will kill me instantly.
