Thread: why cant i train in ranged speed?

i have all the unlocks i need,and only two more skill lines to fill up with fsxp!i have completed the ranged speed quest,which is listed in my completed quests area of my quest journal.i killed all 50 sith outlaws and 25 sith pirates,and was notified on screen"Quest Completed".i have enough fsxp to learn my first skill in ranged speed but noldan will not offer the skill for training.this is very frustrating!!!!!is it any easier becoming a dark jedi?because thisis ridiculous enough to turn anyone to the dark side.if this keeps up i'm just gonna play guild wars when it's released and let swg collect dust.please help!!!is this a bug?i can't take much more.AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Are you absolutely sure that you chose the ranged speed branch? There are 2 branches that have you kill the 50 outlaws and 25 pirates not sure what exactly is the other one don't remember you make the choice when you pick the mission.
Go to Paemos and check what skills you are able to learn to be sure.

the 50 outlaws/25 pirates is the melee defense branch in the reflexes line...
NOT Ranged Speed.

Capt Sarguillo offers 2 quests during phase 4;
Combat Prowess - Ranged Speed
Enhanced Reflexes - Melee Defense
You can only pick one during the current phase. You have to wait for a full cycle back change back to phase 4 to pick the other quest. Both require killing the 50 outlaws/25 pirates. The ranged speed quest has a piece of the sculpture as a reward. The melee defense has no reward.

yes,my quest journal says i took the ranged speed quest,and i also speciffically took that skill being a master commando for the grind,not that it would help tooo much i hear,this was the same quest that was bugged when it began,by the way thanks for replies!

it's both...
and kind of a duh question, but did you get the correct type of FS Exp when you converted?

I have had the same problem for the past 3 weeks. I've ticketed it numerous times and posted the bug. YES I have completed the ranged speed quest, YES it shows up in the quest journal is done, and NO I can't train in it. Very frustrating, I just hope it gets fixed. Keep on bugging it.

same with me. im trying to get melee speed but its also in combat prowess. i did the missions and when i talk to noldan and ask what things i can train in he says i can get melee speed I. yet when i try to train he says im not ready to be trained
