A friend of mine was riding in a multipassenger vehicle when we were going to the village. He get stuck at the fog (he is level 7) and logged out. When he logged back in, he was in the village, and he was even able to get a "replacement" crystal.
I think it is definately a bug.

Yes, its definitely a bug. But now he will have a nice crystal to display in his small tatooine home.

lol, I am FS and I keep the crystal on display in my home. I doesn't seem to matter whether you have it on you or not.

fyi noone was saying it mattered i mean all it does is pull up your quest journal WOOHOO devs gave us sumin special a crystal that opens your quest journal *GASP*

fyi, I didn't say that anyone said that it mattered, either. I just thought it's funny that you're supposed to be protecting this thing, but don't even have to carry it in your inventory.
