If I plan on going the Force Weilder route instead of the LIghtsaber route, would I need to get the ranged accuracy and ranged speed fs branches? Or are the force powers considered melee attacks? Thanks in advance for your help.

Force Powers are supposedly ranged, according to the FAQ's and Guides stickied here and the Jedi forum.

I have no clue if this is true or not, but it would make sense.

Lightsaber is melee, even saber throw.

Well, after running a forum search (after I posted, DOH!, my apologies) it seems that ranged accuracy definately affects force powers. However there seems to be some debate as to whether or not ranged speed is affecting force powers. Many are saying that the fs branch makes no difference but that force speed and doc buffs do make a large difference. Also there seems to be a debate regarding the effectiveness of ranged speed clothing attachments. Does anyone have any recent info on this issue? Thanks.

I am master powers and lightsaber 0400. When I was FS grinding I had no idea what temp I'd go after so I got all the melee skills. Now I wish I had gotten the ranged enhancements as I miss. Not many times but still I do.

I have no info on the special info you mentioned on your 2nd post but I'd say that in the long run (nerfs, patches etc) ranged will definately be the boost for powers!

Also any master powers template does not include much lightsaber specialization.
