Thread: Phase Shifting in the Middle of Quest Problem?

Ok, so after several days of waiting for the old man and the sith attack, I finally revceived the waypoint to the village where I started my first quest. I am in the Bria server and it is currently nearing the end of phase 2. So I began the quest from Dageerin which will give me the Melee Speed column. However, this quest takes three days to complete (I have read) because he tells you to "come back tomorrow" after the first 3 of the 8 encampments you have to destroy. However, the phase is projected to shift on the 12th (it's currently 11:00 PM on the 8th at the time of writing) and I have to go out of town on the 10th at around 2PM. As such, if he tells me to "come back tomorrow" when I do the next few tomorrow night I won't be able to finish the quest until I return sometime on the 12th and I may not be able to complete the quest

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're SOL. I'm pretty sure that you have to finish your quest before the shift or you will have to do it over again next time the phase comes around.

Remember that the 12th for the phase change for bria is an estimate... it might change that morning, it might not... there was some downtime for Pub 19, as well as the usual maintenance... it is my estimate that it would actually change on the 14th..
This is all my speculation on this matter and i hope no one quotes me... that's why i mention it is an ESTIMATE...
If this is the case, you should have time to finish the quest before the phase change.

Oh, and i missed answering your actual question.. lol..
As the other poster said, if the phase DOES shift in between you will have to redo the quest next phase (well, i think it's redo, i imagine it is...)

Yes, it is a redo. As soon as the phase shifts, any unfinished village quest that you had willsimply disappear from your quest journal, just like if you never had it. When that phase comes around again, you will have to start from the beginning, just as if it was the first time taking the quest.

I remember going to the village and trying and failing to complete my first quest and the next day it shifted.

Yeah, that happened to me too. That above post of mine is from experience. I hit glowy at the end of phase 4 (pre-cu one), tried to do the Healing quest, realized I couldn't do it solo, so I figured I'd do it the next day when I can organize a decent group, nope, it switched phases on me 
That and the CU making CL 121 thugs last Phase 3 are why I didn't make jedi last Phase 1 like I should have, now this Phase 3 is my final unlock.
