so last night i did 3 of the 6 parts to the Whip phase 2 quest. i was planning to finish the other 3 tonite to ensure that ifinish before the phase 3 change later this week.

then this morning, my wife is using the comp and WHAM!.... harddrive fails!!!

currently took it to a place that is gettingthe borkeddrivereplaced and trying to salvage as much as of the data as possible. so i'll prolly have to reinstall SWG and stuff. just hope i can get back in game before the phase change occurs (from the sticky thread it appears that won't happen for kettemoor until thursday, so i should be ok). my understanding is that you cannot finish a quest and unlock the FS branch if the phase changes before you complete the quest. is that true?

Yeah, then there's also the potential that you'll be gated from doing future phase missions. It seems to be a glitch that comes up for people where they don't finish a questone phase and then can't talk to anybody the next phase because they say the person is "busy" with another quest.

At that point you gotta play roulette with the CTRL-H File a Ticket system, and pray you hit the jackpot with a CSR that actually decides you're worth taking the time out for to reset the quest or just give you credit for it.

be positive you have today and half tomorrow to reinstall swg and try to complete the quest.

If you can't ... swg will be here the same ... you will do the next then or wait 4x3weeks for this quest again.

If jedi you want, you will be around a lot!

That almost happens to me. my computer came down with a virus and wouldnt let me log in so i reformatted and reinstalled everything this weekend and was able to finish Daggerins quests. That was my 5th unlock so i would have been super pissed if i had to restart it all. only had the last two bases to hit. Good luck to ya. how you get in to finish before its to late.

And yes my wife was on the comp erlir that day and couldnt rember where she had been to get the virus. Go figure.

Yes you have to wait until phase 2 again, but you get to pick up where you left off with it.

really? don't have to start it all over again?

interesting

anyway, should get my comp back with a new hard drive today, so it'll be a race against the clock to reinstall everything and get back in game in time to finish the quest.

lol, yes

inspiron 8200 laptop, 3 years old

but i didn't have it serviced by dell since its long off warranty

dell said that after they were finished replacing the hard drive that i would be required to give the old one back to them because it was their property. i said "F U, its my hard drive, i bought it, and i'm keeping it" so i got someone else to service it.

F dell!
