I intend to take the FS grind very slowly. I am more interested in some of FS quest rewards.

Here are my questions. I know that you can only do a quest and unlock a branch once every phase. However:

a/. Once you unlock a branch do you have to COMPLETE the branch before you can do another quest and unlock another branch?

b/. If you unlock a branch do you HAVE TO complete it? (I mean, I might choose, over the next six months or so, to try and unluck all of them - but can I just complete the six I want?).
