When I did this trial, I had read on one of the FAQ's about walking around dearic (about 1000m out in a circle) and killing the low level critters that were in 3's. They will respawn and each one has the chance to be a regular sludge panther. They listed waypoints to the spawns too. So it took me an hour or two doing this, but it was better than searching all over the planet. I had tried the Durbin village but at that time, the spawn was broke on my server and there was never anything there.

When I lived on Talus, I used to pull greater sludge panther missions from the terminals, if those satisfy the trial try grouping up with some people or pets/droids and you should be able to get them pretty easy.

village of durbin or something like that. POI on talus. i went by the guide and swooped around the cities for 2 hours and got like 10, but then i went to that village and killed the other 10 i needed in a minute.

Yup, that place is crawling with them. I stumbled on it one time a few weeks back and was amazed at the red dots. I will be visiting there in a few weeks as this is my last unlock.

actually there plentiful on talus i was outside the Imperial outpost there and there were alot of them there.

Definitely Lost Village of Durbin POI on Talus. Fly into Nashal for closest SP.
